I was initially drawn to the artistic and functional qualities of dentistry. I liked the thought of creating something (a tooth) and improving a childs life with my art. Children and teens want healthy teeth that also look beautiful.
Each child is unique, and so are his or herconcerns. Along with my staff, I strive to get to know each child and make every onefeel comfortable and safe at our office. We want to know each oneas a person, and encourage childrento become interested in caring for their oral and body health. Its my goal to graduate my patients to a general dentistwith a positive attitudeabout their oral health and dental care.
Each year I participate in many hours of continuing education. This ensures I am current on changes and developments in the field, especially new technologies, materials, and treatments. My patientsand their parentstrust me to provide the best available care options. Taking continuing education courses allows me to continually exceed their expectations.
Most of my childhood was spent on a ranch in Southern California. I fed goats, pigs, chickens, cows, and horses in the early hoursbefore going to school. I like the country, but am currently enjoying the great mix of urban and outdoor activities in the Portland / Vancouver metro area.
When Im not working, Im often spending time with my Dachshund, Wilhemina, or Willy as I call her. I enjoy traveling, especially exploring Portland and the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and trying new restaurants with friends. I also love learning new languages.
My family keeps me busy outside of work. Im married to Stephen and have two children: Logan is my son and Liberty is my daughter. We also have two dogs, Lola and Phylo. I enjoy reading, writing, and blogging, and love dog shows.
I love spending time with my family and friends outside of work. I am married with two beautiful kids. I may be new to the office, but my 5 years of experience as a preschool teacher are very helpful. I love working here because the whole team is super friendly and supportive plus Dr. de Luna is awesome with the kids!
I love working with kids. Ive always been a peopleperson, and spending my days surrounded by smiling, happy kids is simply the best. Its fun to watch kids get excited about taking care of their teeth, and I am glad to be part of that process. I assist Dr. de Luna as he cares for patients;I sitchairside and supporthim and our patient. I also order our dental equipment and supplies, ensure everything is sterilized, and answer questions from patients and parents.
My husband Jason andmy daughterChloe, and my bonus daughterRiley, are my focus outside of work. I also love to travel, enjoy playing softball and going snowboarding, and am a fan of major league baseball. By the way, I go to Disneyland at least once a year.
I love making sure our patients have fun during their visits. When I can get a shy child to open up with me, or a fearful child to start laughing and relaxing, Im thrilled. This is a positive space, with a great team, and our patients soon learn to look forward to coming to see us. Our patients often have me laughingwhile I clean their teeth and assist Dr. de Luna during dental procedures. Seeing happy smiles at the end of a visit is a great feeling, and always my goal.
My husband Therman and I have two children: our son, Therman IV, and our daughter, Kenadie. We also have a family dog, Bella. I enjoy spending quality time with my family, attending my kids sporting events, and traveling.
I love making sure our practice runs smoothly, so the team can focus on whats important: our patients! I work with a great group of people, and love seeing them build strong friendships with our patients and their families. Hearing the shared laughter as they swap jokes always makes me smile. I handle all accounting matters for the practice, including budgeting, purchasing, and payroll, along with our human resources and marketing/social media.
When Im not working, I love traveling, especially exploring the Portland/Vancouver area and the Northwest. I love flying and am a big nerd, with a BA, MA, and MBA. I love building blocks and love that I get to build the office display models!
DELUNA KIDS DENTAL is proud towork with Pet Partners and have either Kyi or Tia and their handler Cathystop by the office to help relax and calm any child who might be nervous.Kyi has been a therapy animal since 2010 and Tia since 2012.Kyis favorite toy is a quacking duck on a rope and his favorite treats are cheese and meat.Tias favorite toy is a small stuffed bear, andher favorite treats are dried beef sticks and string cheese.Both love to gofor walks!

We understand that going to a new place can be scary for some children. We also know that some kids have heard frightening stories about visiting the dentist, and are reluctant to come see us. Our team has created a welcoming, fun space where children can relax and feel at home, the minute they walk through the door.
Your child is free to enjoy the coloring books, building blocks, and playhouse in our lobby. He or she will soon be talking and laughing with our other patients, whove learned that visiting us is nothing to worry about. In fact, we give kids prizes at the end of their visits!
We also talk with each patient before every procedure. We explain what were going to do, why were going to do it, and whats going to happen. Because we practice only painless dentistry, your child will learn that he or shewont feel any discomfort.
The treatment philosophy at DELUNA KIDS DENTAL is conservative, meaning that small, pre-cavities can be treated medically, instead of fillings or caps. We understand that with good nutrition andhome hygiene, we can potentially reverse these small cavities! We offer many home care therapies that can help with slowing down cavities!

Great experience here with my 2 kids! They are genuinely honest about your child's teeth. We were told by another dentist that my daughter had to get a pulpotomy and 5 fillings. I decided to get a second opinion and I'm so grateful to have come to Dr. Deluna's office. The dental assistant Autumn was very friendly and kind to us. After she reviewed my daughters dental record from the other dentist, she genuinely cared to make sure to examine why she needed so much dental work. After x-rays and a exam by Dr. Deluna, I was told my daughter did not need any fillings or a pulpotomy. They recommended sealants, which they did very quickly that same visit. I am so grateful to Dr. Deluna and his staff, they gave my kids and I a great experience and honest dental I care.

Dr. De Luna is a GIFT. Our child has a lot of dental chair anxiety but De Luna and the staff really seem to have a talent for approaching children's dentistry in a way that is relaxing - even fun ! - for kids. Glad to have found this office.

Great overall experience. Down to earth, yet professional staff. Dental assistants and dentist both seemed relaxed and friendly but not fake friendly like other medical facilities. If it seems like a good place to work, it's a great place to be a customer/patient. All in all, great experience. The kids are looking forward to their next appointment: :)

Very unprofessional. They want to do services that get kids in and out and flat out lied about Children's behavior because De Luna got upset about parent refusal for cap teeth and wanted the filings instead.

Have not even had the chance to bring my kids here yet. I got an appointment reminder that my kids have an appointment but the message had 0 information other than my kids names and the time of their app. No info about the fact that it was a dental appointment, or a Dr appointment, address or phone number. My kids go to 6+ different offices for specialty care and I rely on accurate information about where my kids need to go and thankfully I was able to figure out that the appointment reminder was for here. When I called to inform them that the app reminder message had no helpful information about my kids appointments I was SERIOUSLY talked down to by Ashley. There was no reason for her to be that rude or condescending. I was simply saying the appointment reminders are not helpful if there's absolutely no information about which office it's at or no phone number or even the faxt that it was supposed to be a dental appointment. I rely on appointment reminders heavily. Literally no information. This could've been 5+ other places for all I knew. I won't be bringing my kids here if this is how the staff talks to people. I'm sick of bringing my kids to places that think they can act like this towards people and still get their business. I will be taking my kids somewhere that I feel safe taking them. God knows what people like this do when nobody is around and my kids don't deserve that type of verbal abuse they gave me over the phone. No way id ever let someone get close to my defenseless kids if this is how they treat an adult.

Omg my kids love these place! Deluna is so nice and caring ... The staff as well are very nice... I would definitely recommend these place especially for kids that have had bad experiences w the dentist.. Deluna is the place!!

The staff are very welcoming and Dr.Deluna was until our last visit because my 5 year old didn't behave he got so mad yelled and asked me to come back when she's more mature very disappointed wasn't expecting this as it's supposed to be kids dental

Not the place to go if your child experiences dental anxiety, or you don't want your child under anesthesia for procedure. The dentist hardly even said hello to my son before diving into his mouth when my son was extremely nervous, didn't show us X-rays to explain what was going on, and refused to work with our boundary of not putting him under anesthesia and dismissed us.

By far my favorite children's dental office yet! My 4 kids have been coming here for about a year now and they always get them in together for appointments. I appreciate how they don't push services on us and allow me to have a choice in my children's dental care. Everyone is really nice here and that seems to be rare these days!

We enjoy Dr. Deluna because he cares about his patients and makes them feel comfortable. One of my son's has high anxiety, and Dr. Deluna helps him feel at ease.

No weird dentist vibes here! Dr. Deluna is so nice and a pro with kids, and the office staff are great. My kiddo's were blessed with crazy teeth requiring several extractions, but every visit was a positive experience without trauma for them. Cleanings were a breeze. My son always looked forward to checking out the cool Lego creations his dentist built for the office. Now that my littles have grown, they need to move on from pediatric care. But, I will continue to recommend Dr. Deluna to other parents

My son has been coming here for two years and the staff and doctor are both amazing! The office is lego themed and we love that! It definitely helps the vibe he feels before going back. I asked him what he thinks and he said he really "likes the guy dentist". So there you have it.
