Dr. Matthews is trained in all aspects of diagnosis, prognosis and treatment planning in traditional Periodontics with particular emphasis on current literature, knowledge and treatment modalities. She has extensive training in surgical and non-surgical therapy, which includes implantology, regeneration, and conscious sedation.
She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry. Graduated in the top 10% of the class. She was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental society and was the recipient of the Eleanor J. Bushee Senior Student Award for Academic Excellence and Outstanding leadership. She also received the Samuel Charles Miller Award for the highest degree of knowledge and skill in the science of Periodontology.
Dr. Matthews was born in Arlington, Virginia. She graduated from Langley High School and was inducted into the National Honor Society, the Science Honor Society, and the French Honor Society. She was the recipient of MVP for Varsity Womens Tennis, Coachs Pick for Varsity Womens Tennis, and the Scholar Athlete Award.
Victoria is a registered dental hygiene professional and a graduate of Miami Dade Community College with an Associate Degree in Science for Dental Hygiene. She also received an Associate Degree in Chemistry from Broward Community College where she graduated Phi Theta Kappa. She is continuing her post graduate education by obtaining her certification in dental local anesthesia at Palm Beach State College. She also stays current with the literature and continuing education in dental science. Victoria offers the most advanced and therapeutic treatments for periodontal therapy. She provides a comprehensive dental analysis to customize the most effective treatment and home care plan for your teeth and gums. She is extremely passionate about dental care and firmly believes every patient should receive the highest quality of service and results.
Victorias focus is to empower her clients to feel confident and to have beautiful healthy smiles Wanting to help others with dental conditions, she is focused on a career in dental health and education. Her specialty is treating periodontal disease.

Dr. Marissa Matthews is the best periodontist I have ever been treated by. She was very attentive to all of my concerns and her professionalism and skills are unparalleled. It was the day before Thanksgiving and my tooth broke...excruciating. My dentist called them, and even though they were busy they told me to come in immediately. Within an hour my tooth was out! They were so kind and did a fantastic job.

I had gum surgery today at Delray Beach Laser Periodontics. The entire staff went above and beyond to make this a positive experience for me. It's crazy since it was dental surgery, but the experience was wonderful. I had been previously traumatized at dentists and I would go back here in a heartbeat! Dr Matthews & her staff are a top notch health care provider. Their personal touch & concern for you as a patient goes above & beyond most medical offices I have gone to over my 70 years on this earth. The office is clean as can be with the latest in periodontic equipment. I feel totally at ease knowing that the work that is being done is the proper relief for my dental issue. The staff was very nice friendly and professional. They are very concerned with keeping everyone safe. The Dr was great, she gives a very thorough exam. I would love to go to them but to be honest for me is it a little pricey. I would recommend them to everyone with good insurance.

I highly recommend Delray Beach Laser Periodontics .. Dr. Matthews is thorough, meticulous and very pleasant doctor. She and her office strive to keep you informed of the process and everything that is involved with getting an implant. If I ever need another implant, I would absolutely go back to Dr.Matthews.

Starting off with Brenda she is vibrant positive an amazing great attitude. She answered the phone at7:15 bright and cheerful made my day start off amazing. Then there is Vickey caring professional and very through. I would not let anyone else touch my teeth. Then there is Dr Mattews bright smile Very knowledgeable.
