There are a number of reasons children need orthodontics care for their teeth, all dealing with treatment of malocclusions (improper bites), which may be a result of tooth irregularity, disproportionate jaw relationships, or both. Often the earlier we can treat the better; therefore, we have divided our treatments for children into Phase I and Phase II Treatment plans.

Often early treatment turns severe problems that might require future jaw surgery into a more moderate problem that can be treated with braces or orthodontics alone at a later date. In essence, Phase I is early treatment that is sometimes recommended to help or prevent a bigger dental/ orthodontic problems from occurring.

Although individual problems determine the ideal time to start orthodontic treatment, the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends that every child see an orthodontist by age 7. Many orthodontic problems are easier to correct if treated early rather than when jaw growth has slowed.

DelliGatti and Milewski Orthodontic Group have been providing orthodontic care since 1975. Our doctors are board certified or board qualified in orthodontics, having graduated from orthodontic specialty schools at the University of Pennsylvania, University of North Carolina and Temple University. We use the latest in digital technology, including digital radiography.

My daughter has 2 appointments left. The receptionist said, about 1/2 hour each. Today her appointment was at 4:30pm and I was there for 1/2 hour. When scheduling the last 2 appointments clerk said they can only be at 2pm and 2:30pm at the latest. I replied that the only reason I agreed sign the contract is because I was assured that appointments WOULD NOT interfere with school. Then the clerk next to her let out a loud noise like I bothered her. Then a dentist, I assume, in a mask walked up and asked was there anything later and the clerk said everyone is scheduled for around that time. Then the orthodontist said "well everyone parent cares about school so they all can't be scheduled for when they get out". Basically, THIS ORTHODONTIST GROUP DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN ONCE YOU SIGN THE CONTRACT. I am passionate about my daughters education. To have this office at 6404 Roosevelt Blvd below me off by saying "WELL YOU SIGNED THE CONTRACT", " WELL OTHER PARENTS CARE ABOUT THEIR KIDS EDUCATION TOO" is insulting. Don't sign the contract if you care about your child's education.
