Dr. Wang was born in Shanghai, China. He moved to the US when he was 6, lived in Milwaukee, WI, then Des Moines, Iowa. He went to college at Washington University in St. Louis, and graduated from the University Of Iowa College Of Dentistry with distinction in public health before he moved to Houston. Dr. Wang is passionate about my family, exercising, and providing the best care he can for his patients. He is always striving to improve himself in dentistry through taking continuing education courses. Dr. Wang is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Texas Dental Society.
Dr. Wangs professional passions are: improving patients smile and confidence through cosmetic dentistry. He also likes using oral surgery to help patients get out of pain and increasing quality of life.

I have been with my current dentist since 2014, and he has performed deep cleanings, fill-ins, root canals, application of crowns (with and without bridges), and tooth implants for me. Recently, after a regular cleaning, my dentist mentioned it was time to do a root canal and crown on one of my teeth. Due to the deterioration and recession of my gums around the tooth, he also suggested it was better to do it with a specialized endodontist this time. The endodontist's office referred by my dentist was a little far from Sugar Land, so I decided to look for one myself. That was where the nightmare started. I was impressed by Dr. Chen's professional profile and the almost perfect google review of Delight Dental. So, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Chen on July 2nd. After meeting with Dr. Chen shortly, I told her the specific reason for my visit was to do a root canal and crown on one of my teeth due to the deterioration and gum recession. After a full mouth X-ray and gum diagnosis, Dr. Chen explained the situation of my gums and suggested deep cleaning, along with wearing a night guard on my lower teeth. After that, she passed a bill estimation with a $422 Copay to sign. Here is the cost in detail: deep cleaning was $310 per quad, $1240 in total before insurance, $250.40 after, and the lower-teeth night guard is $850 before and $171 after insurance. I have Cigna Dental Insurance with 80% coverage for deep cleaning and root canal treatment. I realized the front-desk clerk didn't mention Dr. Chen was an out-of-network dentist because I had never paid more than half the price for deep cleaning after insurance. I hesitated to sign, but still did, hoping she could come out with a professional treatment plan while being considerate of my tight work schedule. After Dr. Chen performed the deep cleaning for me, I was surprised that I had to meet another doctor for a lower teeth night guard. For the past fifteen years, the dentists I have met with could perform deep cleaning, cavity filling, tooth extraction, root canal, crown, etc. independently most of the time. Without explaining the trade-off of shaving down the teeth, he did it for the two bottom teeth with weak roots and could move around. They had not even warned me about this before the process, and had only mentioned I would need a night guard. Before leaving the office, I paid the bill, expecting another appointment for a root canal and crown with Dr. Chen. I was shocked that she expected me to visit her in October for another regular cleaning! Not a single word about a root canal and crown treatment plan. After reaching home, I immediately called Cigna and realized my insurance benefits were almost maximized after one visit to Delight Dental. The two teeth that were shaved down have been giving me a lot of pain since then. I haven't been able to eat anything hot or cold due to their sensitivity. As I mentioned before, my initial intention in making the appointment with the Periodontist, Dr. Chen, was to get root canal treatment for my teeth with gum recession. However, after only a deep cleaning and a night guard for the lower teeth, I am unable to have any treatments other than regular cleaning because my dental insurance benefits were almost maximized. Furthermore, the two shaved-down teeth will give me pain till the end of my life, as enamel cannot grow back. Dr. Chen, I have had deep-cleaning performed many times by my previous general dentist in the last fifteen years. Why did I need to do it with you at such an expensive cost? What is the reason you provided a patient with one of the worst treatments of shaving down two already damaged teeth? Was it because it might be helpful in gum recession, based on your limited and theoretical knowledge? Do you have enough practical dental experience to perform root canal treatment for teeth with gum recession? If not, please do not accept the patient! For god's sake, you have no right to lower a patient's quality of life. Be honest! If my review gets deleted, I will repost it and post it on other sites.

Delight Dental is the best dental office I've ever been to in my life. I'm very afraid and get very nervous while at the dentist. Since coming here it's been nothing but the best. Dr. Chen is the best dentist ever, and her staff is very friendly. She's very gentle to the touch and I experienced very little pain with the extreme procedure I received. I'm so happy that I found a dentist for life.

Dr Lee is just amazing! My daughters instantly felt at ease when he explained the process of getting braces. Once my daughter got her braces he is super gentle with the adjustments and is always responsive for any questions or concerns. Just an amazing doctor. Totally recommend him for any orthodontic procedure.

Very helpful and courteous staff, inviting office. Dr Wang did several fillings in one visit without anesthesia and pain. Cleaning exam and x-ray was also efficient and painless

I've been coming to Delight Dental for many years now and this is by far my favorite place to get my teeth cleaned and for my checkups. Not only are the receptionists there really friendly, Dr. Wang is very attentive and always gives advice on how to improve my oral health

I highly recommend coming to delight dental! They do an amazing job keeping up with their patients and both the hygienist and dentist will always make sure you're comfortable during your visit. I've never enjoyed going to the dentist but Delight Dental makes the experience bearable
