Dr. Fidel Del Toro and Dr. Jonathon Kimes specialize in Enhancing Smiles for a Successful Future. Using the latest in orthodontic technology, including the Damon System braces, Clear aligners like Invisalign or Spark, and digital impressions, we create an individualized treatment approach for each patient to help them achieve a beautiful healthy smile.
Dr. Del Toro is a Board-Certified Orthodontist with a true passion for practicing orthodontics, improving smiles, and sharing his knowledge and experience with others. His story begins at the University of Texas where he earned an undergraduate degree in 1987. He then attended Dental School at UTHSCSA in San Antonio, Texas where he graduated in 1991. In 1996, Dr. Del Toro completed his Orthodontic Residency and Ph.D. program at the University of North Carolina.
Today, Dr. Del Toro is proud of his 25 years of experience transforming the smiles and lives of his patients. He is also proud of 22 years of teaching Orthodontics as a part-time Assistant Professor at the Department of Orthodontics at UTHSCSA Dental School. He enjoys playing an active role in the education of future Orthodontists.
Dr. Kimes is a Board-Certified Orthodontist with a passion for meeting people and creating lasting smiles and lasting friendships with his patients. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2004 with an undergraduate degree in Physics. This may be an odd degree choice for an orthodontist but it has contributed to Dr. Kimes unique treatment style. After graduating from the University of Arkansas, Dr. Kimes enrolled in Dental School at Baylor College of Dentistry where he graduated in 2007. He then completed his Orthodontic Residency at the University of Texas Health Center in San Antonio in 2010.
When Dr. Kimes and Dr. Del Toro met and discussed their treatment philosophies, they knew they had to work together. Their conviction to provide personalized orthodontic care that goes deeper than standard orthodontic practices was the basis for their partnership. Dr. Del Toro invited Dr. Kimes to join his practice and the rest is history.

Dr. Del Toro did an incredible job aligning my teeth and correcting the issues with my bite. He made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process and really took the time to discuss the treatment with me along the way. His office is beautiful and everyone was so nice and welcoming! I HIGHLY recommend this office to anyone looking to improve their smile, their bite or their overall dental health. I have so much more confidence with my new and improved smile. Dr. Del Toro is very patient, kind and explains what he is going to do for my daughter's teeth. He is smart, knows what he is doing and has a gentle touch. I always recommend him to friends! Oh...he also squeezed in our other daughter on the same day of the request!

My experience was terrible. As a child I needed an expander and I had an issue with resting my tongue against my front teeth, he gave me an expander with multiple long spikes attached, so whenever I tried to push my tongue against my teeth it would poke me. After being given this device, the next day I came back with a bloody tongue (which he did nothing about) I couldn't pronounce anything properly and I was miserable, I told my parents I would rather die then have to keep wearing it. I wish I could rate this with negative numbers. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Dr. Del Toro came highly recommended by several area dentists and friends. We visited 3 orthodontists for consultation and selected Dr. Del Toro. He has treated 2 or my kids over the past 4.5 years. We have been impressed with his expertise, professionalism, efficiency and outcomes. My kids had individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs which resulted in beautiful smiles. His staff is equally kind and professional (Sue is amazing!) and always willing to work with our busy schedules. When my second son had an orthodontic emergency, Dr. Del Toro went above and beyond what I expected in fixing my son's mangled braces and loose tooth. He responded quickly, in-person and professionally to my frantic call. His kindness and expertise put me at ease and were much appreciated in dealing with this unexpected incident. We highly recommend Dr. Del Toro.

Just finished having my teeth straightened by Dr. Del Toro over the past year. I had worn braces for several years as a child but noticed my teeth were becoming crooked again as I aged. I highly recommend Dr. Del Toro and his staff no matter your age but especially if you are thinking about what an orthodontist can offer to you as an adult. I found appointment times to be convenient and on time which I really appreciated as a working adult. Dr. Del Toro and his staff were always friendly and professional - definitely a 5 star experience!

Dr. Del Toro is THE BEST orthodontist in the Austin area hands down. We saw 6-7 different orthodontists for a consultation before we came here. Their diagnoses and plans were identical to each other EXCEPT for Dr. Del Toro. He takes a more conservative and gentle approach. All the other doctors wanted to pull 4 teeth before putting any braces on. Dr. Del Toro didn't even mention pulling teeth. When I asked about it, he answered that he would rather TRY to align the teeth first and then, IF necessary, extract teeth. He uses the latest technology and teaches orthodontics to students. He offers in house financing with a down payment, monthly payments, and NO interest charges OR late fees! He is honest, straight forward, and NOT a salesman. We have 2 children in braces now and both see Dr. Del Toro. We wouldn't go anywhere else!
