Not the same since Dr. Schwarting turned it over. I went in on 8/16 for cleaning and was charged $74 for a "comprehensive oral exam" which I never received. They acknowledge this but won't give a partial refund to my credit card; instead they will apply it to a future visit but at this point I don't think I want to get burned again. Potential patients beware

Dr. Allison is by the far the best dentist I've had in YEARS; she is very knowledgeable and kind. Today I got a filling and she was so gentle and did such a good job. She's a little more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for! Great quality, great service, and great professional care. If you're on the fence about this place let this review persuade you to commit.

I called to make an appointment at this dentist and was asked my insurer over the phone. I was told my insurance was accepted and made an appointment. Fast forward months later, I got a teeth cleaning and a full exam. To my surprise after my service I was charged 20% of the cost. I paid figuring I would straighten it out with my insurer and the assistant at the desk stated I likely would not have to pay anything when the final bill came. A week later I received my EOB and was shocked to find I had an outstanding balance of over $180 for an out of network visit. I called the dentist's office to cancel a future appointment. I asked why I was not told they were not part of my insurers network when the assistant took my information over the phone. The only response I got was that I "should" have been told that they are not in any insurance network when I made the appointment. Clearly based on this review I was not and would not have made an appointment for a basic cleaning and x-ray that cost me almost $200 out of pocket! Would give zero stars if possible. Patients beware of deceptive business practices.

Been going for a few years and they have fixed a number of things on my teeth. Dr Dave is my dentist and I feel comfortable with him. They do a great job and take pride in it and with helping you and your teeth. Family business practice and was built in the 70's or something. Very friendly and nice. I'd recommend for anyone, but cleaning appointments are backed up.

I feel so fortunate to have Drs. Scwarting for my dental care.! ( Dr. David and Dr. Allison) They both go above and beyond in their care, the office offers all the newest technology and the staff is absolutely wonderful. They always make themselves available on short notice and explain any needed procedures so thoroughly. Top notch! Thank you everyone at Del Rey Dental!

Dr David Schwarting is such a great, kind and knowledgeable dentist. I had been avoiding the dentist for a number of years due to a very bad experience, and came to Del Rey Dental on the recommendation of all my friends in the neighborhood. And I'm so glad I did. We worked on a dental plan together that made sense with my insurance coverage. The team discussed everything and told me what to expect ahead of time so I was not surprised. The team at Del Rey Dental, the receptionists and dental hygienists, are all friendly and professional, and very knowledgeable. They stay up to date on the latest information and technology, which is great because it meant a lot less time in the chair! I highly recommend Del Rey Dental for anyone who is afraid of the dentist, and for anyone who isn't.

Del Rey Dental provides excellent regular dental check-ups but really shines when you need them the most. I got an emergency appt within a couple of hours of calling, and they handled the more difficult dental work with top quality professional care. The office staff is also friendly, and made billing my dental insurance painless as well. :)
