In the 25 years I have practiced orthodontics, I have had the pleasure of meeting so many incredible people. I appreciate the opportunity to spend time with each patient and get to know them on a personal level, as I learn about their families, interests, and lives.
It is a privilege to be part of someones life to share in their milestones, achievements, dreams and to be entrusted with someones smile. I am humbled by each persons confidence in myself and my team, and want them to know that I care about them as a person and want only the best for them, including their best smile!
I had orthodontic treatment when I was young. I loved my orthodontist, the treatment experience, and the confidence my new smile gave me. Being drawn to healthcare, I knew I wanted to use my aptitude for science to help people, and orthodontics satisfied my desire to do so.
Originally from the Philippines, I attended Loma Linda University where I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). Next came my specialty training, at the University of Pittsburgh, where I obtained my Master of Science (MS) in Orthodontics.
Through these organizations, I have access to numerous options to stay current on developments in orthodontics. In addition to attending meetings, lectures, and seminars, I complete a range of continuing educational courses each year.
My patients deserve science-based, effective orthodontic care. Keeping-up with the latest innovations and treatment modalities allows me to provide the best treatment for my patients, with predictable, stable, and beautiful results.
Like many, family is my priority and greatest love. I have two children: my daughter is in college in Boston and my son, who is a high school senior, will be going off to college soon. In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis, traveling, gardening, and getting into a good book.
Once an individual starts their orthodontic treatment, and begins to see the change in how their teeth look, something remarkable happens: they start to feel more comfortable with their appearance and begin to open up and engage without feeling self-conscious. From visit to visit, we see how the person is gaining confidence, as they laugh with us and their fellow patients.
By the time the orthodontic journey is finished, our patient has straight, healthy teeth and an improved self-image: they walk out of our doors with a beautifully confident smile, ready to take on the world!

We also want you to feel comfortable and confident throughout your entire orthodontic experience, and our practice is dedicated to making sure that you receive the quality care you deserve.
Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

I do not recommend this place at all. I think it's a waste of time and money. I put braces a few years ago and my siblings did as well. They break constantly, even when you're careful with what you're eating. After I took them off, my teeth looked fine, but they quickly shifted because of the terrible retainers I was given. Every time I tried fixing them, she would charge more. Do NOT go here if you want straight teeth.

Dr. DeGuzman is amazing! She's always been attentive to how our kids are feeling during their appointments and has been extremely patient with their needs. The office runs smooth and on schedule. The entire staff always asks the kids for updates on their sports/school/life, which creates a more personal experience for everyone. Scheduling is flexible and we were given reasonable options for payment. Our son just finished with his braces, and the results are better than we could have imagined! Our daughter is getting ready to begin her 2nd phase, which is happening much quicker than we originally anticipated. Thank you Dr.DeGuzman and staff for guiding us and being so helpful during this process!

We've never had to wait long, they're very accommodating with our schedule, and Dr. DeGuzman is always friendly and makes kids feel comfortable. Dr. DeGuzman is amazing!! She takes time with each patient and is very knowledgeable about orthodontics. I highly recommend her to anyone that asks. We drive 40 mins just to come to her. Office staff is awesome as well!

Everybody here is always nice and professional and my appointments are always quick I never have to wait they always take me straight back. You can also tell they care about how their work looks and they explain to you what is going on so you know and will not take your braces off until your teeth are completely straight

Dr. Deguzeman is always polite and professional. My daughter has a dental phobia and the staff were always patient and kind. The price for my daughters braces were the best in the area and they have monthly payment options without interest which help me.
