I, Dr. Carolyn DeForte have decided to begin a new journey and created DeForte Dentistry, where I plan to continue treating my patients with the most modern advancements in dentistry with the comforts of old fashioned care and attention that is often lost in the world of technology. It starts by listening to what the patient wants and delivering them the best care suitable to their needs. I wanted to name the practice, Not Just Teeth because Dentistry, for me, has become a way of improving my patients physical and mental well being. A healthy mouth helps keep a healthy body. A restored mouth can promote better self image for old and young patients. Listening to my patients and improving their dental health education over the years has been the most rewarding part of my career. An informed patient can make the choices necessary to ensure their health. Whether a patient wants healthier gums, a complete smile makeover, or full mouth implant reconstruction, DeForte Dentistry can deliver that care.

I have been a patient of Dr. DeForte's since she graduated dental school. I have been cared for like a family member. The only thing better than the treatment I receive from Dr. DeForte, is working with her staff. They are a fantastic team who truly care about everyone they work with.

DeForte and her entire staff are awesome (all women run!!). Not being a local from the area I felt completely welcomed by the warm staff. They are so knowledgeable, the office is so clean/modern, they have some really impressive hardware technology, and they have a fantastic bedside manner (no pushing of products or surprise charges). I also had a dental emergency before a vacation and they got me in the same day, no questions asked. Can't recommend them enough

There are not words to tell how much I love this office. They are always in a good mood, they are ALWAYS comforting and so personable. Dr. DeForte is a perfectionist and is beyond skilled at her craft. Can't say enough enough about this practice. (And I am extremely terrified of the dentist!)

I moved back to NJ from PA about five years ago and had not found a local dentist and had not gone in a few years (and everyone gets a pass for last year!). And let me say that I take very good care of my teeth - brushing, flossing at least once a day, watching what I eat, take supplements, etc. While away on vacation, I lost a front veneer. My boyfriend had used her services and recommended that I call her and go to her office as soon as we get back. I set up the appointment through Joelle, her very friendly, very understanding and accommodating scheduler. I was pretty excited to go there and meet Dr Deforte, as I had been wanting to get back on track with a new regular dentist. I read some of the reviews and they were all so positive, raving about her. Finally meeting her was anything but pleasant. She scolded me, told me that all of my teeth need work, lecturing me on the connection between teeth and overall health (as if I didn't know), that I have cavities all over my mouth and it's "do or die" with my teeth now - I'm in danger of losing them - all this without having taken any x-rays or pictures of any kind!! I was aware of an issue with a back tooth that was under a bridge, but she even pointed out the wrong tooth that was bad! I felt so vulnerable, laying there in the chair with the blinding light in my face, mouth open with instruments hanging out of it and her lambasting me about my teeth - it was humiliating and horrible! She put my veneer back on, mumbling that my gums were messed up too (huh??). I was never so happy to get out of someplace. I got in my car and immediately called my previous dentist in PA. I've gone back to him since. And by the way, after full mouth x-rays, 3D-scans and personal examination of all of my teeth and gums taken by my PA dentist, all is good with my teeth and gums - just a few minor little cavities - not the train wreck she claimed I had going on in my mouth. I personally would rather drive 1-1/2 hours to go to my dentist, than drive 15 minutes to her office.

I've been seeing Dr DeForte for probably around 15 years. Her office is always clean and state of the art. She and those in her office are always taking continuing ed. I probably never would've written a review but here's the thing... Dr DeForte saved my life. It's true! After a routine cleaning, she came to look inside my mouth. She noticed a growth on my uvula and suggested an ENT doctor for me to see. Long story short, I had surgery to remove this BENIGN growth. Do you need any higher recommendation? No one loves the dentist, but she is seriously the best.

Dr. DeForte gets the job done and won't settle for anything less than perfection. My case was a tough one and she handled it better than anyone else would. Very easy to communicate with and truly cares about her patients!

Often when you think of the dentist, you might think of something that isn't quite a good time. At Dr. DeForte's office, they make sure that isn't the case. All of the employees are wonderful, the appointments go quickly, and it's overall just a great dentistry experience!

Dr. Deforte is an excellent dentist. She has met me on off hours for an emergency. Joelle always is able to accommodate my busy schedule. The hygienists take the time to make my teeth sparkling clean. Everyone is top notch!!!

Dr. Deforte and her staff form the nicest, most professional, and most capable dentist office we have ever used. They came highly recommended from friends and their reputation was spot on. We feel like part of the family even after one visit. We know the whole family s in good hands whenever we book an appointment. Become a new patient with confidence- you won't find a better dentist in all of NJ...

Dr. Carolyn and her staff are the sweetest people I have ever met. I scouted many offices for my invisalign but they blew me away with their professionalism, warmth, and up to date decour and tools. I've been their exclusive client for years now and I can't be happier. You must experience their hospitality for yourselves. And there's nothing they can't do! This is a "family" practice - where you bring your entire family and feel like part of the DeForte family from the moment you walk through the door!! Staff are friendly and happy and make the smallest to largests members of your family feel comfortable and at ease for the entire visit !! Personally, I have had a lifetime of discomfort from dental work when I was younger- I've been in Dr. DeForte's care for past 10 years and now at 40- my teeth have never felt and looked better!!! Truly a blessing to be in her care.
