As a Bay Area native, Im so excited and honored to be back serving the community I grew up in. In a nutshell, I completed my pre-doctoral degree at the University of California, Irvine and after graduating from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry, I went on and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of San Francisco where I studied the most advanced concepts in restorative dentistry.
My dental philosophy is simple, it centers and circulates around YOU! I am committed to advanced education whether it be through an online course or by racking up my frequent flyer points attending lectures throughout the U.S. focusing on cosmetic and full mouth restorative rehabilitation and do my best chair-side to educate my patients so that they can then make informed decisions.
I believe in transparency and honesty and at all times, a quality driven approach. However, whats most important to me as a provider is that my patients are fully informed before, during and even after treatment. I strive to making my patients comfortable at all times and understand that is only together as a team that we can maintain a healthy, cavity free mouth. The idea behind Define Dentistry is simple, it is that there is no definition of what dentistry can and cannot do, as well as that our dentistry is tailored and defined for specifically you.
Although patient care is my first priority, I take pride on making time to also give back. In addition to volunteering around the Bay Area at dental outreach events, I am humbled that I am able to dedicate a couple days of my week mentoring the next generation of dentists to be at the University of California, San Francisco.
I am an active member of the California Dental Association, The American Dental Association, Contra Costa Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. I cant wait to meet you and look forward for the opportunity to serve as your local dentist.

I can truly say that I and my mother had an amazing visit. Dr. Charlie and my hygienist are the best. Dr. Charlie is not only on top of the dental experience, but she is compassionate and really cares for her patients. My hygienist today that performed my cleaning has really goods hands. She did an awesome job - no pain! The receptionist is really special too. This is what a trip to the dentist should be like. Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you Define Dentistry.

Define dentistry surpassed all my expectations. From my initial call with Shelly to the hygienist Katie and my interaction with Dr. Charlie I could not be more impressed. Shelly was so kind, and knowledgeable and let me know before I left just what I could expect to be charged etc. Katie, the hygienist was gentle and thorough also very kind. Dr. Charlie came in and introduced herself and told me about her practice at the same time showing interest in me as a person. I am not a fan of the dentist but for the first time I am not nervous about going back! Thank you Define Dentistry.
