Dr. Robert Ruhl is proud to have served patients in the Deerfield Valley community since 1979. Thanks to his decades of experience, commitment to continuing education and use of state-of-the-art equipment, he is able to offer you and your family the high level of dental care you deserve. Before you have a chance to meet him in person, you can learn a little more about Dr. Ruhl below.
Dr. Ruhl graduated from Allegheny College and earned his dental degree from the Temple University School of Dental Medicine in 1979, where he received a well-rounded education and solid foundation for his clinical career as a dentist. Throughout the years, our practice has been marked by his continual pursuit of professional growth, as he has stayed current with the latest advances by training directly under the masters in various key areas of dentistry. Those who know him best describe him as a meticulous artisan and man of great integrity, both as a dentist and in his private life.
Dr. Ruhl founded the Bright Smiles Program at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, where he practices hospital-based dentistry for children and adults with special needs. He served on the board of the Vermont State Dental Society and is the current chair of the Vermont Board of Dental Examiners.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Ruhl is a 32nd degree Mason and a Past Deputy District Grand Master. He is a founder of the Pool Learning Center that provides educational services for dyslexic students and was a charter member of the Southwest Vermont Medical Centers Foundation Board. He also served on the Regional Advisory Board for the Deerfield Valley for over 20 years. In his spare time, he enjoys relaxing with his wife, Halie, playing the piano, painting and working with stained glass. Some of his artwork adorns our office!
Dr. Sreca is thrilled to be a part of Deerfield Valley Dental Care. She knew she wanted to be a dentist since she was 12 years old! You will find that her style of treatment is both honest and educational, and she enjoys many aspects of general dentistry as well as getting to work with patients of all ages. She hopes to welcome you and your loved ones into our practice soon, but first, you can start getting to know her below.
When Dr. Sreca was in 6th grade, she was on a kids TV show that involved talking to different local professionals each weeka farmer, pilot, firefighter, candy maker, and ultimately, a pediatric dentist. This last interview piqued her interest in dental care, and from then on, she knew she wanted to become a dentist. Over a decade later, she couldnt be happier with her decision.
Dr. Sreca grew up in a small town in central New York and left for the big city to attend Temple University in Philadelphia. She received her bachelors degree in biology with a minor in healthcare management in 2005 followed by her dental degree in 2009. During her time at Temple, Dr. Sreca proudly served as co-president of the American Association of Women Dentists and as social chair of her class. After graduating, she went on to practice in both private and public health settings in order to serve a wide range of populations and needs.
Dr. Sreca and her partner, David, love Vermont so much and hope to retire here someday. They are ecstatic that they didnt wait until then before coming here! If she isnt relaxing with David or their cat, Gatsby, youll almost always find Dr. Sreca cooking, trying new foods or reading.

Wouldnt even let me inside, said they were capped for state insurance and to go to new hampshire, ive been a client there my whole life, I was just trying to get my sons first dental visit

At 70 years old and being a patient of Dr Raul's since 2004 I can say he is the best dentist I have ever had the experience of caring for my teeth. Always on top of everything and working hard to save my teeth. The staff has always been amazing. The future looks bright wit Dr Tiffany as I call her and her talent in dentistry.

Just had my first visit with Dr. Sreca. I am very pleased with the care I received today. Dr. Sreca was wonderful in explaining a dental plan for me. She took care of an immediate problem for me and we have options for future care. I would highly recommend this dental practice to anyone who wants the very best care with the very best doctors and staff.

The team at Deerfield Valley Dental Care are amazing. I live in the area part-time and on the trip up had an old filling fall out and break off a piece of tooth with it. This left a razor sharp edge that was cutting my tongue when I ate. I called their office first thing in the morning and told them what happened. They advised that they were short-staffed but would see what they could do. One hour later they called and asked me to come in later that morning. They quickly took care of my issue and saved my trip. I would definitely recommend them. They are awesome!

I had a minor dental emergency but couldn't be fit in for several weeks because I am not yet a full time patient. I mentioned that I own a home on Coldbrook and all I needed was a temporary filling cemented back in place. I was told to go to Brattleboro. If my tooth breaks, I am in big trouble. Horrible attitude. Must be nice to have a monopoly in the area.

My experience with DVDC was by far the best I have ever had. It all began with the office manager taking her time to assist me over the weekend. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease. She went above and beyond what I had expected and was the most professional and kind dental office staff member I have ever spoken to in my life. Moving on to my visit. Abbey was amazing. She was so kind and understanding of my situation. Unlike other offices my feelings of embarrassment dissipated immediately. Dr. Ruhl came in and talked me through ever and all options I have so we could collaboratively set a care plan, all the while keeping me hopeful that I will again have my beautiful smile back. After my experience I do not see myself wanting dental work, treatment or care anywhere else. Their level of professionalism, compassion, understanding and kindness is unmatched. Thank you all so much for all of your help over the last few days. I do not have words to express the positive impact this experience has had on me. I see Kerri for cleaning and general dental health and she is wonderful, both personable and professional. I can't say I have ever actually enjoyed going to the dentist ( it has been for about 65 years now!), but I do not mind at all seeing Kerri. Dr. Sreca is new to the practice but her professionalism and know-how are readily apparent, and she is also very pleasant as well. All in all, Deerfield Valley Dental is a fantastic dental clinic which I would highly recommend to anyone.

I've been three timessince they have reopened under Covid-19 rules, all protocols were followed. Heather is a great hygienist, and I've been with her for many years.If you are looking for dental care I recommend Deerfield Valley Dental Care!

This was one of the best experiences I've had at a dentist! Even though there is a waiting list for new patients, they fit me in because i had a cracked molar. within 4 hrs, i left with a perfect capped tooth. On top of all the, Dr Ruhr, Abbey and Linda and the rest of the staff couldn't have bern nicer
