Dr. Dee Dee offers comprehensive dental care using the latest technology so she can give patients comfortable, convenient, and effective care. Some of the many services available include same-day CEREC restorations, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, Invisalign, oral appliances for sleep apnea, and much more.
Dr. Dee Dee was drawn to dentistry early in life. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Irvine, in Irvine, California, and then realized her dream of being a dentist at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Dee Dees goal is to have a truly patient-centric practice. She uses the latest dental equipment and systems, including CEREC from Dentsply Sirona, OptiSleep oral appliances, HealthyStart myofunctional therapy appliances, iTero for Invisalign planning, OperaVR virtual reality to replace nitrous oxide, Galileos cone beam computed tomography for advanced airway analysis, OralID advanced oral cancer detection, guided dental implant surgery using Straumann dental implants.
Dr. Dee Dee has been a CEREC mentor since 2013. She regularly volunteers her time in the local community through Team Smile, Smile it Forward, and Freedom Day. She's also the director of the Fills Good Program at Dee for Dentist.
Dr. Nelson Lasiter is a board-certified prosthodontist, the specialty discipline of dentistry which focuses on the restoration and replacement of teeth. This can be accomplished by fillings, crowns/caps, bridgework, veneers, complete and partial dentures and dental implant restorations.
Dr. Lasiter received his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from UCLA and continued his Masters studies in Microbiology at San Diego State University. He received his dental degree from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in 1978 and was honored with the Oral Pathology Award and the Anna Bredall Award, along with a full scholarship from US Public Health Services. He completed a one-year General Practice Residency and a two-year Prosthodontic Residency at the Veterans Administration Wadsworth Hospital Center in West Los Angeles.
Upon completion of the residency programs, Dr. Lasiter moved to Las Vegas in 1981 to begin his private dental practice. He received his Board Certification from the American Board of Prosthodontics in 1985. His professional memberships include the American Dental Association, American College of Prosthodontists, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, International College of Oral Implantologists, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Fraternity, Nevada Dental Association, Southern Nevada Dental Society and California Dental Association. Dr. Lasiter was also chairman of the Continuing Education Committee for the Southern Nevada Dental Society for 11 years. He has been voted by his peers as a 'Top Dentist' in Las Vegas for over 10 years.
In his free time, Dr. Lasiter enjoys hiking, photography, reading and traveling with his wife, Karen. They recently became 'parents' to two adorable rescue pups named Tippy and Cookie. Dr. Lasiter and Karen are avid UNLV Runnin ' Rebels Basketball fans and can be found cheering loudly at all the home games!
Growing up, Dr. Dee Deeknew exactly what she wanted to be. Unfortunately, Prince William was already taken. Plan B dental school. Graduating from the UNLV School of Dental Medicine, shes fulfilling her new dream, but if you change your mind Willie, you know who to call.

Back in Q1 of 2019, the theme was 'Mental Health.' All the entries for this period were organizations who benefited those affected by Mental Illness in Southern Nevada. In the future, perhaps children, addiction, or cancer outreach will be next. Our goal is to help as many people as possible.
