Dr.Ralph DeDomenico received a BS degree in biology from Fairfield University in Connecticut in 1970. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in May 1974 from the University of Louisville. He was awarded a teaching position on the faculty of the University of Louisville for one year, following graduation.
He then entered into orthodontic specialty training at the University of Louisville and also maintained a private general practice in Louisville, KY. Dr. DeDomenico received a certificate in orthodontics in August 1977. He has been engaged in private practice, specializing in orthodontics for adults and children in Tampa, FL since 1977.
Dr. DeDomenico is Board Certified by theAmerican Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. This is the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists.
He is also a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Florida Orthodontic Association, West Coast Dental Association, Florida Cleft Palate Association, Florida Dental Association, American Society of Dentistry for Children, and the Hillsborough County Dental Association.
Dr. DeDomenico was on the faculty of the University of Florida for 12 years and is currently on the faculty at the University of Louisville as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the orthodontic residency program.
Dr. Matthew Matt DeDomenico grew up in Tampa and graduated from the Academy of the Holy Names and Jesuit High School. While at Jesuit he was a member of the 1994 State championship baseball team. After receiving a degree in Biology from Florida State University, he went to the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. There he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a DMD degree. As well as graduating at the top of his class, he was honored with membership in Omicron Kappa Delta and the prestigious academic society of Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He continued his education at the University of Louisville and earned his Certificate in Advanced Training from their Graduate Orthodontic program.
Dr. Matt received advanced training in many current trends, including, but not limited to, Invisalign, Sure smile, self-ligation, the use of soft tissue lasers, and Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs).
Dr. Matt is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Hillsborough County Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontics, and Florida Association of Orthodontics.
We want all of our patients to feel at home, and will always put their needs first. We have only the most skilled and trained staff on our team and they love what they do. Our staff will gladly answer all of your questions and do their best to put you at ease.
All treatment staff members are certified assistants and the office team has decades of experience between them when it comes to caring for patients. Our staff members regularly attend educational courses, seminars, and meetings to ensure that they remain on top of the latest advances in technology in order to continue providing excellent patient care.

They take the time to sit and listen to all my questions and concerns no matter how long it takes. Been going to them for braces back when I was a teenager and now at 23 still helping with all my new needs/wants.

Great experience! The office got me in quickly as a new patient. I had an issue with a orthodontic device from years ago. Dr Matt DeDomenico saw me & quickly identified & fixed the issue in the same visit. Office was super clean & the staff was very friendly & professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to this office!

Dr.DeDomenico's orthodontics practice is one that exemplifies how medical professionals ought to treat patients, not simply because they perform excellent work on teeth but more so because they want their patients to be proud of who they are! I am a 22 year old college graduate, and was a patient of Dr.DeDomenico while I was in high school. My latest visit to him occurred 7 years after my braces were removed, to do a broken retainer rod in my mouth. As I walked into the office, employees remembered my name, and each and every one of them were enjoying both professional and personal conversations with all the other patients. For parents looking for medical professionals who actually care about their children, I could not think of a better place then DeDomenico Orthodontics. "Dr.Matt" as most of the patients know him, knew every patients name and school as long as their hobbies and extra curricular outlets. He was able to engage in comfortable conversation that made seeing the infamous orthodontist's office feel much like visiting with an old friend. He was the same way with me, after having not seen him for almost a decade! One day when I have kids, I will certainly be taking them to see Dr.Mat!!

We love the office staff and environment! Nothing but welcoming, kind, and efficient service. I recently moved to the area and found Dr. Dedomenico. My first appointment was made with one phone call, the staff was patient with my list of concerns, and Dr. Dedomenico offered exceptional solutions to my problems. I would refer my closest family and friends to this establishment! My braces have been off for a while, but if I have any reoccurring problems, Dr. Dedomenico is who I'll be seeing!

I am a first time patient of Dr. Matt's in desperate need of a repair on a permanent retainer. Not only did the office accommodate a first time patient during the reopening of businesses during a pandemic, they did it quickly, politely,and safely. I feel like this office took a lot of time and consideration when it comes to planning a safe visit. I just texted when I got there, waited in my car with my jams, they brought out the paperwork, and they texted me when I was ready to be seen. Even though the entire staff was wearing face masks, it was still a warm welcome. I liked the open floor design and being able to see the open communication between staff and patients. I was able to get some options of services and costs which was really helpful. Because of their safe and wonderful service, they have gained not only myself as a patient for orthodontics but the DeDomenico family will gain my kids on the pediatric side.

We have seen Doctors DeDomenico for orthodontics for 30+ years, and the amazing quality of care and service continues! I first saw Dr. Ralph Dedomenico in the 1980's for my own bite issues and came away with a great smile (I was so impressed I started pre-dentistry as a major... but that's another story). My wife than saw him as an adult in the early 2000's when he addressed an issue from previous out of state sub-par care - her results from Dr. DeDomenico were (of course) great. When it came time for our two kids to get braces, we were so excited that the tradition could continue with Dr. Matt DeDomenico (Ralph must be proud!). Matt is that rare combination of excellent orthodontics specialist, service oriented professional and generally friendly guy. Truly a pleasure continuing to see them, they make taking care of your smile easy :) Highly recommended with no reservations!

I went to Dr. Matt from ages 10-14 and could not have experienced any better service! The staff was so friendly and caring. Even now when I go back to get my teeth cleaned they are exceptionally kind and helpful. I had braces for under 2 years and Dr. Matt fixed my smile beautifully. My parents went to Dedomenico orthodontics over 30 years ago and the wonderful service still upholds to this day. I strongly recommend!!

I first started using DeDomenico Orthodontics when I was around 13 or 14 years old. I had braces for many years, and then retainers, which I lost three sets of, within a short amount of time. After that, Dr. DeDomenico worked with me to put braces back on my bottom teeth, and form a plan better suited to my lifestyle, which included a semi-permanent retainer behind my bottom teeth. I just went back this morning, nearly 7 years after getting the semi-permanent retainer installed (because some of the glue on that retainer had worn off, which they informed me was normal). Not only did Dr. DeDomenico remember me and make me feel just as valued and at home as the whole practice did ten years ago when I first came in, but also, the work was so quick that I couldn't believe it! As I'm now in my early twenties, I'm no longer on my parents' insurance, and I don't have an orthodontic insurance plan through my job. Once he heard that, Dr DeDomenico worked with me, and it is only because of him that I was able to get the follow-up for that retainer that I desperately needed. I would highly recommend this orthodontic practice to anyone! They are phenomenal with children, their work is fantastic and quick, and they make every effort to make the experience less scary for kids. The staff is fun and engaging with every patient, and the doctors are absolutely knowledgeable, and welcome questions and discussion about the work that they're doing. As a kid, this practice made getting braces of far less intimidating experience than it could have been, and as an adult, I value their quality, compassion, and speed. This practice is one of my favourite healthcare providers that I've ever been to. 11/10.
