Dr. Francis earned his Bachelors degree in Chemistry from the University of South Florida. He then obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College, where he graduated in the top five percent of his class.
From there, he completed two full years of post-graduate specialty training in orthodontics at Howard University in Washington D.C. Hes also been inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the International Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Francis is dedicated to providing his patients with the most advanced and comprehensive orthodontic care available. He frequently participates in continuing education to remain aware of advances in his profession.

This is by far the best Orthodontist. I was a new patient here and the staff was very welcoming, everyone made me feel so comfortable. Kayla was super nice and knowledgeable with all the information she provided she also answered all of my questions I had. Cathalina was super understanding and sweet as well even though I gave her a hard time she did everything she could to help me out and I appreciate that. Dr. Francis was great and knows his work. He help me pick the correct choice to get my smile back on track for my confidence. The level of Professionalism is definitely 5 stars. This place is a 10/10

I LOVE my new smile & I'm so grateful for Dr. Francis & his team for their professionalism, care and passion for what they do in the office. From the very beginning there were specific people who always made my heart smile with their kindness and welcoming spirit. Tina at the front desk always welcomed me with a smile and greeted me by name, Cathalina my dental assistant who was so patient with me and though my anxiety got the best of me at times; she always went at my pace and made sure I always felt comfortable. Kayla, the finance coordinator made sure she answered all my questions, explained the process, and never made me feel rushed at consultation. And last, but certainly not least, Dr. Francis! He is amazing... he is thorough, concise, knowledgeable, and loves what he does! I at one point during treatment towards the end was ready to get them off! Dr. Francis encouraged me to keep them on longer to really get the results I ultimately wanted. I'm grateful and if I had to do all over again; Decatur Orthodontics would be my #1 choice! A few others who I interacted with in the office that were amazing as well.... Molly, Paola, Hailey, and Sheena! Thank you all!!!!

The entire staff is very friendly and made my son (7y) feel so comfortable. Both Dr. Francis and Alicia easily engaged my son and helped him feel involved even though he is so young. Dr. Francis has been incredibly thoughtful about whether or not to move forward with an intervention and when it would be most beneficial. We are very thankful we found this practice!
