Dr. Hammond has owned Decatur Family Dentistryfor more than 29 years,allowing him to develop long lasting, trusting relationships with his patients. Dr. Hammond is devoted to providing only the highest standard of care for his patients. His unique artistic eye and clinical skills have enabled him to provide many beautiful smiles for his patients over the years. Dr. Hammond's talent is seen in the wide range of dental care that he provides.
Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Hammond has kept up to date with hundreds of hours of continuing educational classes. He continues to perfect his skills through advanced training in restorative, cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. He recentlyhas also began practicing dental sleep medicine, giving sleep apnea sufferers an alternative option to CPAP therapy.
Dr. Hammond is married to his wife Linda (Gaunt) and has two daughters Allyson, who practices with him, and Ashley. He has been a certified scuba diver for over twenty years. He is also an avid amateur underwater photographer. The office dcor reflects his underwater passion.
Gina has been a hygienist at Decatur Family Dentistry for 20 years. The best part of her job is helping people feel more confident about their oral health! She also enjoys spending time with her family, going to their sporting events, and sports in general, especially IU basketball.
Beth has been a part of the Decatur Family Dentistry team, as a hygienist for 13 years. She has a passion for people and dentistry. Her passion has led her to serve on a yearly mission trip to the Dominican Republic. She also enjoys volunteering at her church and Bellmont Middle School Campus Life.
Christa has been with Decatur Family Dentistry since 2006, and has been the office manager since 2012. She enjoys helping patients maximize their dental benefits and coming up with affordable plans for non-insured patients. In her free time she enjoys DIY projects and spending time with her family.
Laurel has worked in the dental field since 2003 and has been with Decatur Family Dentistry since 2013, as our front desk receptionist. She is grateful to work in the caring, faith-filled atmosphere that Dr. Hammond has established in the office. Laurel enjoys reading, yoga and spending time with her husband, Greg, their children and grandchildren.
Whittney has been an expanded function dental assistant with us for 5 years. She feels honored to be able to serve the Decatur Family Dentistry patients and to be a part of the amazing DFD team! Her hobbies outside the office include exercising and spending time with her 2 kids.
Mary has a been an expanded functions dental assistant Decatur Family Dentistry for 30 years! She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable about receiving dental care, and being part of such a fabulous team. Outside of the office, she enjoys golfing, bike riding, and reading.
Linda has been in the dental field for over 35 years. She has spent 25 of those years with Decatur Family Dentistry, as a dental assistant. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, camping and her 3 grandkids.
