A graduate of Case-Western University in 1996, Dr. DeCastecker performed a one-year residency at Metro Health Hospital and has practiced dentistry in the Mentor and Cleveland areas for over twentyyears. She started DeCastecker Dental Specialists in 2008 so she could provide her patients with one-on-one dental care in a professional and friendly environment. Dr. DeCastecker and her staff embrace ongoing education as a key to delivering dental excellence. Lindsay works alongside Dr. DeCastecker to ensure patients get the most out of their visit. Lindsay knows that coming to the dentist office isnt always the most comfortable thing to do, but she strives to make patients feel relaxed when they come through the door. Whether its by answering questions about a treatment plan, helping figure out insurance processes, or simply being there to greet you with a smile, shell walk you through whatever process necessary.
In 2014, Lindsay started her career training as a dental assistant at Fort Richardson Alaska while her husband served in the U.S. Army. Upon moving back to Ohio, she was hired as a Dental Assistant with DeCastecker Dental Specialists and fell in love with the small office feel. Not long after, she started training to help with the front office. She moved into the Office Manager role in May 2020.
As a Dental Assistant, Jill works with each patient to ensure they understand the treatment process in a way that is relatable and not overwhelming. She perfected her approach of helping ease anxiety and fears of the unknown working in pediatric dentistry for three years before joining DeCastecker Dental Specialists in 2021. Jill worked in general dentistry after completing dental assisting training at the Cleveland Institute for Dental & Medical Assistants in 2013. She then worked in surgical dentistry for several years. She appreciates the commitment to quality and compassionate care at DeCastecker Dental Specialists. I feel I have found my home here with the quality of care that is given to patients being top-notch and extremely educational, she said. Jill maintains her certifications and training yearly for CPR, Dental Radiography and OSHA/HIPPA regulations.

Dr. Decastecker and staff are so wonderful. They take the time to answer all questions and explain everything they are doing. They work to make you comfortable and calm ( if your like me and have extreme anxiety). They work with your schedule and do what they can to work with your finances/budget. I would recommend them to everyone. You won't be disappointed in my opinion.

Everyone is so welcoming and professional! I had some bonding done on a lower front tooth after the entire back of the "sheared off while I was sitting at my desk working. Dr. D. Repaired the tooth and advised me that unfortunately this type of repair tends to not last so long. Went in today for slight repair of the bonding. Quick, painless, great appearance. When we checked the records we found the initial repair had been done 14 years ago! I'd say that lasted very well! I have had only positive experiences in all the years I have been coming to this office. Thanks to the Doctor and Staff!

One star as it's the minimum required to leave any review. I went for a routine cleaning, I had no pain, no sensitivity. This butcher dug into my gums and yelled at me for bleeding, told me I needed 6 fillings, claimed I was having severe "bone loss," and chastised me like a child for drinking coffee, claiming that I was wearing away my enamel. Scared me to death. She also said I needed a crown and to repair fillings that were done in the last few years. She's a fraud. They asked me to leave a review, and I made sure I was done with their office and had my X-rays sent elsewhere before I came here to tell you the truth. By the way, my new dentist is not recommending ANY work, rescheduled me for a cleaning in 6 months, and I left THAT office without pain. They also assured me that my enamel and bones were HEALTHY. So forget this place. Don't go here unless you want to traumatize your step kids.

I experienced my first appointment yesterday. No waiting. Staff was both helpful and cordial. I was impressed with Dr.Decastecker and was elated that she completed my routine cleaning. Went to Dr DeCastecker for first visit due do insurance EPO Network not including my long-time dentist. Received cleaning and bitewing X-rays and was told I needed 2 teeth pulled, 2 resin composites and a crown. I thought that was a little strange since I'd been to my old dentist 6-months ago and was not told about needing a crown or resin composites and he said the 2 molars would eventually need to come out, but there was no rush. I asked for a copy of the X-rays so I could get a second opinion and was told that due to computer issues, my X-rays no longer existed. So I was forced into getting another set of bitewing X-rays. I asked my old dentist if my teeth had deteriorated this much in the six months since I'd seen him. He said no, there was no change and he couldn't understand the need for 2 resin composites or crown. The 2 molars that we had been keeping an eye on over the years, had not changed.
