Dr. Deborah Bishop is a dedicated endodontic specialist caring for patients in Huntsville and surrounding Alabama communities. She uses the latest techniques and technologies to ensure dental care is effective, Dr. Bishop was the first endodontist in the state of Alabama to utilize a surgical operating microscope in her practice.
After graduating from Birmingham Southern College with a BS in biology, Dr. Bishop continued her education at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine. Following her doctoral studies, Dr. Bishop attended an endodontic residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has worked as an adjunct clinical professor in the endodontics departments at her alma mater, the University Of Alabama School Of Dentistry. Dr. Bishop has continued to complete education and training each year, and has stayed active in numerous professional organizations including:
For Margaret, the best part of her job at our practice is helping others. She has about 35 years of industry experience and completed the Dental Hygiene Program at UAB. She is CPR certified and has advanced training in business management. She enjoys being part of our great dental team, and were happy to have her!
Away from the office, you can find Margaret spending time with familytwo sons, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, and one grandson. She is the surviving spouse of Dr. Randy Simpson and was married to him for 36 years. She also enjoys youth ministry, fishing, gardening, and traveling.
For over 20 years, Dianne has worked with our practice helping our patients with the financial logistics part of their dental experience. She recognizes just how special our endodontist and staff are and enjoys coming to work every day.

Dr.Bishop was recommended by my dentist. I had an appointment to do a root canal, but it was one of my worst experiences. To begin with, she kept my mouth open for 4 hours and she never gave me a rest. I don't even know how I could bear the pain. It hurt a lot. That day she didn't tell me I had an infection. I went home and a few days later my husband called her because I couldn't stand the pain. She told him it was the infection, but she never told me that I had it. I went back to her and when I told her that she hadn't told me about the infection she said that it had been removed on the spot. The only thing she told me was that she sees many patients a day and she thought she had told me. She also didn't treat me for the infection. I had to call my doctor and he prescribed me antibiotics. It's been several months and I'm still worse than before, the pain is still there and I can't eat on that side. She told me that the only way to fix my tooth is to make another root canal for my molers or pull it out. I came for one problem and she said that I had another. I don't know how she has 5 stars. Think twice before going with her.

Loved the atmosphere create by Dr Bishop and her staff. I felt comfortable and at home. Dr Bishop and her staff knows how to put a patient at ease. Great people, great conversations, great dental work!!

Dr. Bishop and her team are absolutely phenomenal!!!!! During my consult, Margaret went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable which made my visit go extremely well. Additionally, Dr. Bishop took the time to educate me on what was happening with my tooth and the procedure needed to restore the tooth. Before leaving my consult, my pain level started to rise, so Margaret immediately gave me Advil before leaving the office which again shows their level of genuine care and concern. The day of my root canal, 17 February 2022, Dr. Bishop and Michelle were very professional and thorough during the procedure. I have experienced zero pain which is amazing! I highly recommend Dr. Bishop and her team because they will get you fixed up with no residual pain! I can go on and on with praising this team as I am so thankful for them.

Dr Bishop and her staff are wonderful. I highly recommend them. She made sure I had no pain and I was really worried about that. They took me in on an emergency situation which made my day!! If I ever need a root Canal I will be calling Dr Bishop.

Dr. Bishop and all her staff are a 10/10. She repaired my failed root canal that was infected that was done by a general dentist 2 years ago. Prior to Dr. Bishop, I had a very hard time getting numb and always had some level of pain at the dentist, but this time I felt no pain at all!!! I was very nervous prior to going to Dr. Bishop, but I was given some pills prior to the procedure and slept through most of the procedure. The staff is absolutely amazing, everyone took their time, explained everything, they are absolutely genuine, and I feel like they are now part of my church family. I was very impressed that Dr. Bishop called me personally at the end of the day to see how I was doing!! I just cannot say enough good things. The best part is, I am no longer afraid of the dentist and I will no longer put off procedures because of fear of pain and anxiety.
