DeBary Endodontics was founded in 1997 by Michael DeGrood with the vision of creating a dental practice that treats every patient with dignity and first-rate care. The nurses and office staff at DeBary Endodontics are highly-trained and exceptionally friendly. We understand that for many, visiting a doctor can be a stressful experience. Michael E. DeGrood earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Miami in 1986. He then went on to The University of Florida, where he graduated in 1990. He then completed a 1 year fellowship A.E.G.D. program and in 1993 completed his Endodontic Residency. He remained at the College of dentistry for 2 years as an Assistant Professor in Endodontics. He has been the only full time endodontist in DeBary and west volusia for the past 17 years.
He has been a part time clinical professor at the universtiy of Florida for over 20 years. He has published multiple reaserch articles in the Journal of Endodontics, abstracts, and in the I.A.D.R. (International association for dental research). We also offer CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) which allows us to view teeth in three dimensions.
Dr. DeGrood is a proud member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association. Florida Dental Association, Florida Association of Endodontists and Greater Orlando Dental Society.

As a dentist in Lake Mary, I highly recommend Dr DeGrood for ANY of your root canal needs. He is the doctors doctor! I have referred my patients to Dr DeGrood for over twenty years. He has treated my wife, son and myself over the years. He even did a root canal on my Jack Russell Terrier!! :) Five stars! ....six, if I could!

Everyone in the office is fantastic. Dr is very gentle and never rushed. Patient comfort and understanding of procedures is huge priority. Will never go anywhere else unless something dr. Degrood can't do.

I had my root canal done at this office. I went in just for the consult and was able to get the procedure done that same day. Staff and doctor are very nice and sweet. Made me feel very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Well, let's begin by saying I am 75 years of age, have worked in the medical field for over 50 years, so I know of which I speak. I have had many, many root canals. I have gone to many endondonist through the year, with mostly negative experiences and results. Dr DeGrood came highly recommended by a oral surgeon I went to, the oral surgeon was suppose to remove a wisdom tooth, after a trough exam the tooth did not need removed, He referred me to Dr DeGrood (I asked to be referred to an endodontist) Now back to Dr DeGrood, I have never felt comfortable having a root canal; first Dr Derood is super professional, put me completely at ease.He did a very through and comprehensive exam. For the first time I had a virtually painless root canal. He is the BEST don't waste your time and money elsewhereever. I highly recommend him!

I went to Dr. DeGrood with a very very sensitive tooth; to not say painful! He did my root canal and I couldn't be happier with the results and the process. Never believe that you have to feel pain with a root canal, not if you come to Dr. DG.... He is amazing; gentle, patient and the best at doing root canals, even tough ones like mine. I highly, highly recommend Dr. DeGrood! He's the best! Thank Dr. DeGrood !!!!!

All I can say is WOW...I've never had a root canal and I was terrified to get one based on what people have told me. Dr. Degrood did such an amazing job making sure it was painless and made sure I was comfortable and ok the whole time. I would strongly recommend to anyone who needs a root canal. Great staff and great doctor!

Dr. DeGrood and his staff are so professional and above and beyond. I was pleasantly suprised with the technology he uses as well. I feel Dr. DeGrood takes dentistry to another level and incorporates all tools that assist him in making both accurate and safe decisions for his patients. His commitment to his patients and staff are nice to see and would recommend him to anyone in need of an endodontic dentist.
