Dr. Anakarina DeAngelis was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. During summer breaks, she worked with her uncles who were dentists in their practices. It was this adventure that led her to pursue her passion for serving the community and becoming a dentist.
Dr. DeAngelis went to the Universidad Central de Venezuela and earned her DDS degree in 1997, where she practiced 3 years. She had visited California during her teenage years and fell in love with it and decided after working for a few years to take an extended vacation to San Diego. After a few months here, she met a group of Dentists who needed an Orthodontic research assistant for a private project. Dr. DeAngelis earned her American DDS degree from University of Southern California (USC) where she was honored on the Deans list during her years at the school.
She joined their team and got to enjoy our wonderful Southern California so much that she decided to get her United States dentist license to practice and stay for good. During her board studies over the next year, she met and married her husband Mario and they started a family.
At USC she was inspired by some of her mentors to practice Biomimetic dentistry which is the art of reproducing natural-looking teeth with the most conservative treatment to return their strength, function, and esthetics. Also, she was part of the Hispanic Student Dental Association, Chapter USC and volunteer and a Spanish Instructor to teach dental students how to communicate with Hispanic Patients.
Dr. Anakarina DeAngelis, dentist in Carlsbad CA is unique and well rounded; she has worked in community clinic settings. DeAngelis Family Dentistry is her dream boutique office which has a calm environment using aromatherapy with essential oils to relax patients. She also believes in taking Continuing Education Courses to keep updated on the newest techniques and advances.
My experience throughout the years made me approach every patient based on their functional, esthetics, social and many times psychological needs. My goal is to connect with them to understands their priorities, educate them to the most of my abilities, and utilizing my dental clinical skills to enhance their smiles. Recognizing that dentistry is an important part of the medical science can be a life-changing game that can benefit many people.

Born and raised in Carlsbad, CA where I graduated from CHS, to continuing to pursue my education at Palomar College. Helping people in any way has been a passion of mine. With the amazing opportunity of working in a medical office on the beautiful shores of Hawii, to now working in the dental office, I have been able to expand my knowledge and intrest in both fields. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, painting, and being with family.
Her love of dentistry started over 2 decades ago. She attained her Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in 2002 at USC, but with a fondness for dentistry and need for growth in the field, she successfully pursued her RDAEF license in 2004 at UCLA. This license has allowed Sarah to perform permanent procedures, making her highly valuable to the practice.
She spent nearly a decade in the dental specialty field of Orthodontics, where sheexcelled as a treatment coordinator and as a practice management consultant. Ashleygraduated top of her class with a degree in Sociology from Chapman University. In herfree time, she is a dedicated baseball mom!

At DeAngelis Family Dentistry, our goal is to provide quality services to our patients in a welcoming, comfortable environment. One part of creating that environment is the use of aromatherapy and essential oils.
Essential oils are concentrated oils from aromatic plants, flowers, and trees. This concentrate is used in a diffuser, which gives off a pleasant and relaxing aroma. Many believe that there are a variety of healing benefits to these oils. This quality is very useful in a dental office, considering that many patients feel a high level of anxiety towards visiting the dentist. In addition to anxiety, aromatherapy can be used to reduce stress, worry, fear, and panic attacks. Conversely, it can induce relaxation.
Another benefit to diffusing the essential oils (rather than using potpourri or scented candles, for instance) is that it improves air quality it increases the oxygen level in the air and reduces bacteria, mold, and fungus. The oils also have antimicrobial and antiviral properties.

I LOVE THIS PLACE AND EVERYONE HERE! I always look forward to coming into this dental practice, it is my absolute favorite dentist that I have ever been to!! A few of my coworkers now go to them as well and love it. A previous dentist wanted to perform surgery on me but DeAngelis saved me from that. I trust them so very much! Everyone is just so great in here that I can't express enough how comforting it is to be here in their hands! Thanks guys!!

Dr. DeAngelis's office is a calm and relaxing atmosphere the minute you walk in. Alexa and Madison make you feel comfortable immediately. I had a tooth that was hurting off and on, and after checking it out thoroughly, Dr. DeAngelis concluded that it was related to grinding my teeth at night and my sinuses. She gave me a splint, that Noi her assistant, made right away, to wear at night and thought that this should solve the problem. For someone who absolutely hates going to the dentist, Dr. DeAngelis is the best Dentist! She is so personable, honest and truly cares for her patients (doesnt nickle and dime you like I have felt at every dentist before). I have been going to her for over 3 years and my experience has been great every time. Raquel, one of her dental hygienists, is also the best hygienist and I highly recommend her. She is incredibly thorough but gentle which is a win win in my book! Overall the best dentist and would recommend to anyone!

Dr DeAngelis is one of the best dentists I know. It's fairly easy to get an appointment with her, and when there was a scheduling misunderstanding (probably my fault), they guggled to accommodate me and other patients. Really appreciate that. Hygienist and rest of staff is pleasant and efficient. Not only do I get great dental care, but I really like the office and they accept my Delta Dental insurance. Glad to be her patient.

Dr DeAngelis and her staff are the best! I've been coming to Dr. DeAngelis's office for the past 3 years and I've recommended her to my colleagues. She is the nicest and her work is of the highest caliber. She's helped with emergency filler replacements, a tooth extraction when I had my braces, silver filler replacements to white fillings, and also my regular cleanings. I really appreciate how careful and considerate of her patients she is. When she injects anesthesia for any procedures that require it, it doesn't hurt!

Best dentist I've ever had! My dental history is extensive due to an injury; surgeries, implant, tissue grafts, perm retainer, and more... I have been to countless dentists. This office has a peaceful and private atmosphere. The staff is compassionate and gentle. I love everyone here and feel genuinely cared about. Their priorities are comfort, transparency, and thoughtful treatment planning/options. They communicate with my other specialists (pereo and ortho). I trust them like they are my family. You will not over pay here. If you have severe anxiety about dental treatment, you should see Dr. Anakarina DeAngelis!

The very first time I went to DeAngelis dentistry, I was happily welcomed, they were all very friendly, made me feel comfortable, I was looking for a new dentistry. For a while and the payment plan they have and the deals they have are affordable, being a single mom of 4 yr old twin boys, dentistry can become expensive as you know, and this is affordable for me being a single mom, I also recommended my family, my grandmother goes and absolutely LOVES it! She had gone to a different dentistry for over 20 years, and is absolutely blown away with De Angelis and wishes she would have come here instead! I recommend this dentistry to anyone and everyone! They make you feel comfortable and welcoming, and affordable!
