Dr. Dean Kokinias was born and raised in Chicago. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois, Champaign and then received his dental degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago in 1990
Dr. Kokinias began his clinical career in Chicago. He has been at his current location in Rockford for 25 years. He continues his pursuit of excellence by attending and participating in some of the most advanced continuing education courses available; ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. His philosophy focuses on providing a patient-centered dental experience blending new technology with time-proven techniques
I treat every patient like they are a member of my family.Outside of dentistry Dr. Kokinias enjoys traveling, photography and spending time with his wife and two daughters.Dr. Kokinias is a member of various associations, including the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society and the Winnebago County Dental Society
Tiffany is a life-long resident of Rockford, Illinois. She graduated from the Rock Valley College Dental Hygiene Program in 2018. She joined Dr. Kokinias and his team in 2020. Tiffany and her husband have been married for 7 years and have a young son together. She enjoys spending time with her family and their dog
Christina was first introduced to dentistry when she was 16. She worked as a dental assistant after school and on weekends throughout high school. She graduated from the William Rainey Harper College dental hygiene program in 2011. She worked as a dental hygienist in the Chicago suburbs until moving to the Rockford area in 2017. She has worked with Dr. Kokinias since 2019.'I enjoy getting to know my patients and working with them to help keep their teeth healthy.'

I've been coming here ever since I became an adult and the desk staff and dental assistants are some of the most kind and funny people I've met. The dental assistants are very time efficient and do a wonderful job. My only problem is the doctor EVERYTIME I have an appointment comments on my weight. Everytime he manages to make me feel uncomfortable. It's completely unprofessional to comment on someone's weight as you don't know what problems they could be dealing with in their life. I hope he changes cause I love the dental assistants a lot but otherwise I will take my business elsewhere.

We've been coming here for over 25 years. Amazing staff, everyone is so friendly, helpful and genuinely concerned about your teeth and overall health. They work very well with children, making sure that young ones have positive experiences at the dentist. We moved an hour away almost 23 years ago and we still drive that hour twice a year to have our teeth cared for at this office by Dr K and staff.

I admittedly am a difficult patient. I bring all the trauma from my childhood experiences with me to my appointments. Dr. Kokinias and his staff are kind, patient and very accommodating. So if you are nervous about "going to dentist" choose Dr. Kokinias! He and his staff will make you comfortable. He is very thorough in explaining the what's, how's and why's of his work. ALSO his work is outstanding! I had bonding work done on my FRONT tooth and it looks perfect! That is a HUGE recommendation. I've only "discovered" him in the last few years and wish I had found him long ago. Thank you Doc and staff. You truly ARE wonderful!

I have been seeing Dr. Kokinias for years. He and his staff are professional, friendly, and welcoming. They have made accommodations for me over the years when things have been uncomfortable. I feel like I am listened to and accommodated. I was nervous about going during COVID-19 times but I went and felt extremely safe. Tiffany was my hygienist during my last visit, and she was absolutely fabulous: gentle and caring. Dr. Kokinias goes the extra mile and speaks Spanish also to communicate with his Spanish-speaking patients. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other dental offices in the area. I love this office!

My visit to the dentist was fine. I felt very comfortable and safe will having my teeth cleaned and examined. They used all of the virus safety protocols and I wasn't worried at all. Dean Kokinias and his staff are very friendly and nice! Thanks

I've had many different dentists in the past and must say I am extremely pleased with all the services I've received at Dr. Kokinias' office since day one. Dr. Kokinias is a perfectionist and it shows in his work. He has accommodated me when I'd had issues arise needing immediate attention and his dental work has stood the test of time. Both he and his staff are friendly, efficient and professional, even to the point that I have never had to sit in the waIting room past my appointment time to be seen. I will stay with Dr. Kokinias as long as he is in practice.
