Dr. Deans eventual career path started with a fairly traumatic experience when he was nine, he fractured his front teeth! As a result, he had to undergo root canal therapy and also have crowns placed. This experience did spark an early interest in the dental field overall, though. Several years later, he applied to both medical school and dental school but really wasnt sure what direction he wanted to go. After shadowing a nearby dentist for some time, he quickly became fascinated with the work, as well as what looked like a healthy work/life balance that would set him up for lifelong success. He also had a love of helping people that he knew would be fulfilled through this career path. The rest, they say, is history.

After completing his Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia, Dr. Dean chose to pursue his doctorate at the Medical University of South Carolina. Although his formal education may be complete, he completes many hours of continuing education each year to stay current with the latest technology and procedures in oral healthcare, including courses at prestigious institutions like the Dawson Academy and the Pankey Institute. This approach is the best way to provide his patients with the most modern care possible! He is always looking for a more efficient way to do his job while also helping the people in his care feel genuinely relaxed. Some of the specialties he has focused on with a particular interest include dental implants and dental treatment for sleep apnea and TMJ/TMD. He also holds a Fellowship in the International Dental Implant Association and is a member of the following organizations:

A Georgian native, Dr. Dean has three children who all now grown and living on their own. Wesley is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, Preston is running his own business, and Mackenzie is pursuing a career in nursing! He also has two grandchildren and loves spending time with them. One of his biggest interests outside of the dental world is design and photography he even has a photo studio set up at home. He also regularly travels all over around the world and really enjoys seeing new places, as well as capturing lots of memories with his camera. Other hobbies include playing tennis, running, and visiting national parks.

An interesting fact about Dr. Dean: He is actually related to John C. Calhoun, an American statesman and political theorist from the Democratic party who served as the 7th vice president of the United States!

Ansley attended dental assisting school at UGA, and she is also certified in BLS. Her goal every day here at Dean Dental Care is to make sure each patient feels very confident about their smile! Watching them leave with beautiful, healthy improvements is always a rewarding feeling.

Outside of work, Ansley is very close with her parents and two younger brothers. Her personal hobbies include spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and taking her dog Roscoe on long walks. Shes also one of the unique few left in her generation who truly loves old country music Waylon Jennings is her favorite!

Wendy has been working in dentistry for well over two decades now and most of those years were spent right here at our dental office! She attended Clayton State University for her education and is certified in CPR. She really enjoys being able to see and meet different people every day as part of her work.

Originally from Covington, Wendy is married with three beautiful children all of them are grown and currently live out of state. When she isnt busy at work, you can usually find her participating in a bowling league with friends, working out at the gym, being outside, spending time with her dogs and a cat, and kayaking several times a year. She also has a passion for yardwork with the exception of doing it in 90+ degree temperatures and awful Georgia humidity. Shes actually a realtor with American Realty Professionals as well!

I work in the front office for Doctor Dean and have been here for fifteen years. I am married to Tommy and have one daughter, Rylie. I enjoy spending time with my family. I also love cooking and reading. I have read every Vampire book there is. My passion is baking and decorating cakes. I have made many cakes for weddings, birthdays, etc.

I work hard to do my best to interact with our patients in a professional manner that is comforting. I like meeting new people and like the fact that my co-workers are also my friends. Everyone gets along well and it makes this an enjoyable place to work. Doctor Dean is fun to work with and has a great personality and lots of energy.

Kristens career in the dental field spans nearly 15 years so far. Originally from Walton County, she studied at Armstrong Atlantic State University and is certified in CPR. Her favorite part of this job is being able to build such strong relationships with patients while working alongside an amazing team!

At home, Kristen is happily married with a son and a daughter. As a family, they all like to have new adventures together in their spare time, such as hiking, kayaking, and going to ice hockey games. Shes also regularly busy with her kids sporting events, and they travel whenever possible too. She is a proud vegetarian who has a huge weakness for Publix chicken tenders.

Renee has been working in the dental field for over five years so far, and shes proud to now be a part of the Dean Dental Care family. She really enjoys spending time with the other team members and partnering to help patients have enjoyable care experiences. She is a licensed insurance agent and has been involved in the insurance field overall for two full decades. Shes also completed training in headache management through Trudenta.
