Dr. Blaess became a dentist because she wanted to show people that it is possible to have pain free dental experiences. As a child, she had a very traumatic dental episode and it took years to be able to stop being sedated for dental work. Her goal is to ensure children never feel the terror she experienced and have a pain-free dental visit. Her gentle touch and caring manor is what makes her one of the best dentists in Texas. Dr. Blaess believes it is vitally important to commit time to keep learning. She attends many hours of continuing education courses every year, far beyond the necessary amount required to maintain licensure. The office undergoes constant improvements in equipment, materials, and techniques. Dr. Blaess grew up in Houston since the age of eight, graduating from Sharpstown High School. Upon graduation, she attended the University of Texas in Austin. She is a Longhorn but treats Aggies with the same caring touch. Upon receiving her dental degree in 1997 from the University of Texas Health Science Center she opened DeZavala Dental. In 2003 she partnered with Dr. Stan Zebrowski to open Northwoods Dental Spa, with a commitment to treat each patient as they want to be treated. She is a wife and mother of two boys, Michael Blaess and Brian Levin. Michael is attending TMI and enjoys lacrosse and football while Brian Is at San Antonio Boys Academy and is the soccer guy.
Dr. Laura Aguilar was born in Odessa, TX and grew up in Mexico. She attended the University of Austin where she graduated high honors with a Bachelor of Science and Arts and minor in Business. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with high honors from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
While in dental school, Dr. Aguilar was co-founder and president of the Periodontics Study Club. She was awarded the Southwest Prosthodontic Society Dental Student Award, American Academy of Periodontology Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics Student Award and was granted membership at the National Honor Society Omicron Kappa Upsilon, OKU.

Easy in and out for x-rays and a cleaning.....recently retired and no longer have dental insurance so my wife and I took advantage of their new maintenance plan which covers cleanings and x-rays for about $30 per month. Recommend.

Dr. Taylor is AMAZING! I came in with tooth pain and left with an in depth treatment plan for my teeth! (and my tooth pain fixed) I've struggled with what to do with my teeth for a while and it seemed like nobody had answers for me. Dr. Taylor explained in detail what was going on with my teeth and what she could do to help me; in ways I could understand. Not to mention the very kind ladies at the front desk! I called this practice on accident thinking it was a different one, but after the experience I had, I'm making this my new primary dentist for sure!

The hours are great if you work late office hours are helpful. I also want to mention the dental hygienist she does a great job cleaning teeth!! I'm terrible with names but she has blonde hair.

Went in to get evaluated for wisdom teeth removal. I had no idea I had two cavities, one of which was pretty severe. They got both cavities filled, avoiding a root canal in the near future, my bottom teeth cleaned and got a referral for the wisdom teeth removal all in my first appointment. I was treated with kindness, professionalism, and precision. They explained exactly what was wrong and were able to show me the X-rays and pictures so that I had a clear understanding of what was going on with my oral health. I had great experience and will be returning for all future cleanings and work.

I have wanted to find a new dentist and now I have found her - DR Wendy Taylor. I have 12 YO dentures that have become unconfortable to painful. I hope to have new dentures 2023 and Dr Taylor is my choice. She has already relieved some spots of significant pain caused by my current dentures, as well as always looking for possible other problems. I also find the front desk and accounty staff very helpful and also joy to be around. Wish them all the best

I had an amazing experience with this clinic. I am in PA school and my schedule is intense, so waking up with dental pain was incredibly upsetting, worrying, and inconvenient. I called this office this morning and they worked me in in between my classes. They were professional and efficient. I saw Dr Wendy Taylor and she was so comforting and kind. I am so happy with the care I received. I highly highly recommend.

Great dental office that has been providing unmatched level of service in this part of town for a long time. Friendly and attentive staff who will work around your schedule and to get you in to be seen ASAP, in case of an emergency. Excellent first appointment at this office. I'm scared to death of dental work and the kindness of every single person from the front desk, the xray assistant, the hygienist and the dentist was so comforting I'm not afraid to get my dental work done now.
