Dr. DeSantis has been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry in the South Hills of Pittsburgh since 1984. He obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 1980. Dr. DeSantisthen attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1984.
Dr. DeSantis is committed to lifelong learning and continuing education. He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Pittsburgh Academy of Dentistry. Dr. DeSantisearned a prestigious Fellowship Award in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). He served three terms as both Program Chair and President of the Pittsburgh Academy of Dentistry. Most notably, Dr. DeSantishas been selected by his peers as a Top Dentist for Pittsburgh Magazine.
A native of Baltimore, Dr. DeSantis has lived in Upper St. Clair since 1970. He is an active member of St. Thomas More Parish. He and his wife Shelley are the proud parents of Dan, Emily and Lauren. They enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren. Other activities include travel, tennis, cycling, and of course, the Steelers!
Lori attended the Median School for Dental Assisting and joined the team in 1993. With morethan 25 years of experience, Lori is highly experienced in assisting with crown and bridge,implant dentistry, and root canal therapy. She appreciates working in an office where the entireteam shares a passion to provide high quality dentistry, with the most technologically advancedequipment and materials. She enjoys building relationships with patients and seeing the results ofbeautiful dentistry. Lori looks forward to getting to know you and your family!
Gigi earned her bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene in 1979 at Farleigh Dickinson University.She strives to understand the unique needs of each patient and helps them to achieve a healthysmile. Gigi is highly skilled in identifying oral hygiene concerns before they develop into largerproblems and provides home care instructions to improve and maintain optimal oral health. Shannen attended West Liberty University where she earned a bachelors degree in DentalHygiene in 2016. Shannen is known for her gentle and thorough treatment, and she strives tomake your hygiene experience pleasant and comfortable. She educates patients about proper oralhygiene and encourages them to utilize preventive measures to maintain their dental health.
