Dr. DeSantis both mentors and teaches young Doctors working on their Post Doctorate Certification in Prosthodontics at New York University. By incorporating Post-Doctoral Education into his busy schedule, Dr. DeSantis keeps on the cutting edge of Dental Education and knowledge.
Dr. DeSantis was born and raised on Staten Island and is a graduate of New Dorp High School and Wagner College. Although he chose to practice in the neighborhood where he was raised, his patients have been referred not only from the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania area, but from as far away as India, Russia, Italy, and Canada
An advocate for the Staten Island community, Dr. DeSantishas served the Staten Island community as a former board member of the Alice Austin Museum, the Lynn Robbins Steinman Foundation and Project Hospitality. He was honored by Project Hospitality with the Les Trautmann awardfor Outstanding Contribution to the People of Staten Island He was recognizedby the American Red Cross for his volunteer work providing emergency dental treatmenttolocal victims of Hurricane Sandy and by the American Legion Cespino-Russo Post for Humanitarianism and Patriotism for his commitment to help the children of active duty servicemen and women. Dr. DeSantis also serves the Staten Island community as a board member of the St. George Theatre
Dr. DeSantis lives with his wife Gina and family here on Staten Island. A leader in the dental community, Dr. DeSantis is the past President of the Richmond County Dental Society, the Italian Dental Society ofGreater New York and the Greater Staten Island Study Club. He was elected to the national board of directors of the American College of Prosthodontists and serves as the Northeast regional director

I can't say enough great things about my dental experience with Dr. Louis DeSantis and his staff. He's a professional and compassionate prosthodontist which I was in need of. I had dental work done which included implants and Dr. DeSantis did all the work himself; I didn't need a second dentist. Implants can be very costly but I found his fees were very reasonable. All the staff, and just to mention a few Coleen, Rita, and Lisa are the best at what they do. You're sitting in the dental chair within minutes of your appointment, no waiting which is a pleasure! I could go on and on about my experience with Dr. DeSantis and his staff but lastly I will say that if you need a great dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Louis DeSantis. He gave me a smile that I'm so happy with. You won't be disappointed!!
