Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, Kerri spent more than 20 years in the hospitality industry before making the switch to dentistry in 2000. She joined DeMarta Dental in 2006, transitioning her skills and experience, strong work ethic, and personal philosophy in proactive preventative health care. She almost joined the circus in 1988, but today spends time dancing, biking, traveling, and entertaining.
Tonya was born in Charleston, South Carolina. She moved to the Bay Area with her husband, John, in 2007. Having been a dental assistant for over 25 years, she really enjoys being chair side with patients and has developed a passion for making the dental experience a comfortable and pleasant one. In her spare time, Tonya enjoys spending time with her husband, gardening, and cooking.
Maryam was born in Iran and grew up in the U.S. After working in a dental office during her high school years she became interested in the field of dentistry. She also works at a periodontal office, where she has refined her professional philosophy for optimal dental health. Maryam has a masters degree in nutrition and has been a registered dental hygienist for 21 years14 of those years with Dr. DeMartas practice. She spends her personal time with her husband and daughters, and is refining her skills on her newest passion, making French macaroons.
Pam is a California Native. Her specialty is getting to know her patients on a personal level so that they feel at ease and have a positive experience. When not keeping an eye on her teenage daughters, Pamela likes to travel the world and take part in outdoor activitiesthe office refers to her as the Travel Agent Hygienist. Shes also a voracious readergoing through as many as six books a month
While deciding on a career, Lizzie wanted to be part of a profession that would make a difference to others. Raised in San Jose, she started as a registered dental assistant and became accredited as a dental hygienist in 2012. She has found that clear communication with her patients encourages better follow-up and enhances her clinical skills, so she spends time building trust and rapport. On her days off, she likes to spend time with her family and splurging on sushi.
While growing up in the Bay Area, Karinas dentist let her watch the procedures done on her parents, which inspired both her interest in dentistry and her friendly and welcoming manner. Her focus is on education so that patients can take control of their own oral health, and she credits the teamwork approach at DeMarta Dental in providing excellent patient care. Karina relaxes by biking, exploring nature, and making her own unique jewelry.

A third-generation Californian, Dr. DeMarta was born in San Francisco and grew up in Fremont. Working as a dental assistant for her first job in high school, she decided to continue her training, first as a dental hygienist and then for her doctorate in medical dentistry from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. Dr. DeMarta has been in practice for more than 20 years and moved her office to its current location in 2009. A self-confessed education junkie, Dr. DeMarta is a member of a professional dental study club and estimates she logs more than 100 hours of dental continuing education every year to stay abreast of the changes in the field. She lives in Palo Alto with her son and daughter.

I have been a patient forever and my wife is moving her dentist relationship as well. Dr. Michelle is great -- a bit conservative but I guess that is good as dental work is tough to "un-do". The staff is wonderful as well -- stable for it seems like decades, friendly and efficient.

I have never experienced a less than cheerful and expert visit at Dr De Marta's clinic. Today I suddenly cracked a tooth and begged Dr De Marta to rescue me. She stayed overtime to fashion me a perfect temporary replacement, without which I would not have been able to show my witchlike face in class until the permanent tooth was done. She always her best effort, and her staff live up to the same standard.

Dr De Marta is the best dentist I have ever been to hands down. I never liked going to the dentist previously. I never trusted them. They always seem to rush. Here it's different you are treated with thoughtfulness and care. Dr De Marta is incredibly detailed and takes perfection in her craft. She doesn't rush. She makes sure you are comfortable and happy with her work. But you for sure will be. I have never had a better looking crown. Totally flawless so much so when I got a cleaning they could not tell it was a crown. She is warm and kind and really cares about her patients. I highly recommend her and will not ever be leaving her.

Dr. de Marta prepared my #29 tooth for a root canal by Dr. Finley. She then prepared a mold and a cover for the space. During the preparation there was a point when the dental hygienist hurt my jaw accidentally with one of her instruments. Dr. de Marta quietly explained that that part of the jaw had not processed the novacaine yet. It was quickly remedied and everything went smoothly. I was grateful for the attention and gentle care.

I've seen Dr DeMarta for many years and like the quality of her work. Her technicians are all professional and office staff competent and friendly. After my husband had several bad experiences elsewhere, he now comes to Dr DeMarta as well and is happy he made the change!
