Dr. Goren was great. The best root canal experience I've ever had. Fast and no pain or discomfort at all. I was very impressed . Him and his staff are so kind , friendly, and attentive.

Bad dentists. Wife and I came to this office for the first time about two months ago for routine cleanings. Both of us had issues detected -- a couple cavities, the wife needed a root canal. I've had numerous fillings in the past with my previous dentist, for context. I had two done here -- both were trainwrecks. Compared to past fillings both of these were very garishly implemented on the tooth and very roughly textured, with one molar having a very noticeable protruding 'snaggle' where the composite met the enamel -- not polished at all. Neither filling felt remotely 'natural' or like a normal tooth, with one newly-filed edge of the tooth now being unnaturally sharp and knife-like. (To Dr. Valentina Goren's credit, the fillings were painless -- I was a little disconcerted, however, when she went to inject anesthetic into a section of gum that hadn't been topically numbed by the assistant at all, and it was only because I was paying close attention to what Dr. Goren was doing that I told them I needed topical numbing in this second spot as well. I mentioned it because I do think this illustrates the rather lackadaisical attitude of this practice.) This now-knife-like tooth in particular became very sensitive to pressure (biting) and temperature, both hot and cold. I returned twice over the following month-and-a-half to try and have these issues fixed, once by Valentina (who originally did the fillings) and the second time by Michael. (This practice is run by two dentists, female Valentina and male Michael. I presume they're married.) The first visit did nothing to solve my problem despite her adjusting the height of the filling (she seemed mystified that I could have any issues at all), hence the second visit where Michael checked my teeth for bad roots (none) and essentially advised me to start using Sensodyne -- the only other alternative being a root canal. Again, this is for a tooth that I had a cavity filled on despite having zero pain or discomfort from said cavity. As I left this second visit he made a big show of having the receptionist (who was nice) make a note in my file that that tooth may need a root canal if my issues persisted. The problems unsurprisingly did persist -- I was honestly worried that I might need a root canal on what heretofore had been a perfectly good tooth. At this point my trust in their competence was shaken, so I got a referral from family for a different dentist, who (guess what) fixed both the issues with temperature and pressure on ONE. SINGLE. VISIT. He adjusted the bite on the tooth drectly below the problem tooth: if you know even anything about dentistry, you know that an unevenly distributed bite can cause a lot of tooth irritation -- something that the Gorens, DDS apparently are unaware of as my wife had similar problems with her crown, post-root-canal, and which were similarly corrected by this new dentist in one visit. This tooth in particular has a crossbite, and New Dentist (despite clearly being hesitant to speak ill of other dentists' craftsmanship) admitted that the filling didn't seem to take this into account. To add to which, the new dentist applied a fluoride treatment to assist with the sensitivity, something not offered or suggested by the other Gorens. As a final note, I had the new dentist correct the aforementioned Snaggle Molar Dr (Valentina) Goren had created, and even that relatively small adjustment is massive, massive improvement -- not only is the snaggle completely gone, but the filling itself is much more naturally concave (like the tooth originally was) as opposed to feeling crudely patched over with a gritty flat cement. I do not recommend these dentists. Unless you like getting pointless root canals, go elsewhere.

I can't say enough good things about Dr.Goren. I have had root canals in the past and it wasn't a pleasant experience. Dr. Michael changed all that. Not only did I not feel anything but I fell asleep! He has a very gentle touch. After the procedure, he told me that I may feel some discomfort but I felt nothing. He answered all my questions and explained everything thoroughly. If you ever need a root canal, go see Dr. Goren!
