Dr Blank received his dental degree from the University of Maryland. While there, he was awarded the national Albert Schweitzer Fellowship for his service with the homeless population of downtown Baltimore. He participated in the oral maxillofacial surgery clerkship and pediatric externship at Childrens National Medical Center.
Following graduation, Dr Blank completed a hospital-intensive general practice residency at East Carolina Universitys Brody School of Medicine. He then returned to the University of Maryland for his postgraduate fellowship in pediatric dentistry. Dr Blank served as chief resident and completed specialty training at the School of Dentistry, University Maryland Medical Center, and Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Dr Blank is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. His leadership in professional organizations includes the Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, College of Diplomates, and the Chevy Chase-based Premier Dental Study Club.
Dr Roma pursued her dental education from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at Nationwide Children's Hospital which heavily focused on hospital dentistry and treating medically complex patients. She concurrently obtained a Masters in Science at the Ohio State University. She also has a masters degree in public health from Emory University.
Before moving to the DMV area, Dr Roma spent a few years working in a large private practice in Texas while her husband finished his residency training. Her mission is to provide quality care for her patients in a fun setting while exploring new dental technologies for better clinical outcomes.
Dr Roma is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. You can find her chasing her two young boys at the local parks and trying to sneak-in some workouts on the Peloton!
Dr Robin grew up in Rockville and attended Magruder High School. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Maryland at College Park with a double degree in Finance and Accounting, he worked as an auditor for Deloitte&Touche, one of the 'Big Four' international professional services firms, prior to making a career change to dentistry.
While ranked first in his class at the University of Maryland Dental School, Dr Robin was accepted to the orthodontic residency program at the University of Louisville where he concurrently received his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate and Master of Science in Oral Biology. Dr Robin spent several years as the sole orthodontist in a Pediatric+Orthodontic combined specialty office in Frederick, and is excited to now join Dr Blank and the DCPS family.
Dr Robin and his wife currently reside in Rockville with their two furry children, Jaz and Chai. When not in the office, youll often find him tackling various DIY projects, working out, spending time with family, or traveling.

Allisongrew up in North Potomac, MD. She has 2 sweet kids, a husband and cat. She has been serving the DMV area as a Pediatric Dental Assistant and Breastfeeding Peer Counselor for over 7 years now. She is super excited to meet you and make every visit a great one!
Aned was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in New Orleans. She moved to Maryland when she was a teen and now calls it her home. She is very passionate about working with kids and has been in the pediatric dental world for 6 years. Aned is always striving to make every visit a positive experience.
Originally from Harrisonburg, Virginia. Go Dukes! Now residing in Loudoun County with her husband and three children. Ann has been dedicated to pediatric dentistry for over ten years. She strives to ensure that all patients are confident and comfortable in the dental setting.
GROW When Elsy is not found drawingon the chalkboard at work or giving out special toys to our patients, she is mostly likely found traveling locally and filling up her passport with stamps from allover the world. Otherwise, she can be found working on her bachelors degree, and aspires to complete that degree at UMD.
I was born and raised in Maryland. I have a degree in early childhood education and am very passionate about children. I love being outdoors and active. I have a big family consisting of 4 siblings and 7 nieces and nephews. Also, I am obsessed with my dog Sadie.
Samantha grew up in Catonsville, Maryland but currently lives in Winchester, VA. She loves exploring local breakfast spots and thrift stores in her new neighborhood! She has been working in Pediatric Dentistry for over 6 years and loves helping kids become more confident during their dental visits.
Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Sarah moved to Maryland after graduating from The Ohio State University. She enjoys exploring the DMV with her husband, Jeremy, and pug, Ghengis. Sarah loves working with kids and making them feel comfortable at the dental office.
Originally from Howard County, Shae has lived in Washington state, Southern California, and Georgia. Now residing in Washington, DC she deems this as her forever home! She has two step children who she absolutely loves and adores. Shae has worked in Dentistry for 3 years working as a Patient Coordinator, and loves to make everyone feel right at home!
Sydney is a California native, born and raised in Pasadena, California. She also spent a bit of her childhood abroad in London, England. However, she now calls Maryland her home, residing in Silver Spring with her husband. She received her degree from UMD and brings 10+ years of pediatric dental experience to DC pediatric smiles. I can't say enough amazing things about DC pediatric smiles. Dr. Blank is kind, patient, relatable and smart. All the stuff are amazing with both my kids, especially my daughter who is always very anxious about the dentist. The staff that help with payment and paper work is also so helpful with insurance and makes it easy for a busy mom. I recommend the whole practice, back to front.

Dr. Blank, Dr Roma, Dr Choi, Hai, Jamie, and the rest of the staff were great- super friendly and upbeat, and gave my son a really nice experience today with a routine cleaning and applying sealant to four of his teeth. We had heard such great things about this place and were so pleased to find them to be all true. The office itself is decorated so it is like you're at a beach side resort, very relaxing and cool. Coffee and sparkling water for the parents is a really nice touch as well. Can't wait to go back!

This place is friendly, modern, super accommodating, and both kid and parent approved. Dr. Blank and the entire staff are incredibly helpful and approachable. They provide space for the parents to hang out while the kids get treated. Or, during Covid, will let you stay comfortably in your car while you wait for them.

We had our one year old's first dentist appointment today, and absolutely loved this practice. We are so excited that we found such a caring and beautiful place that will give us the best care. Everyone was sweet and thorough. I expected my son to scream and walk out traumatized, but it could not have gone smoother. Feeling like a great mama today. Thanks for everything!!

I never write reviews but felt compelled to share about the incredible level of care that the DC Pediatric Smiles team showed toward my daughter. I noticed an abscess on my daughter's gum at night and called the office to leave a message. Dr. Blank called me back immediately around 9pm, and was able to fit her in first thing next morning for a tooth extraction. My daughter was comfortable to go right in and get the procedure done and I can't believe how calm she seemed getting her TOOTH PULLED OUT of her mouth! This team turned what could have been a traumatic dental emergency into what seems to be a pretty casual and uneventful experience for my daughter! I am so grateful I could honestly cry.

Amazing first experience! Friendly staff, know how to manage kids and make them feel comfortable! Prizes for the kiddos (and parents!!), TVs on the ceilings for their teeth cleaning experience, super clean office space that makes you feel like you are at the beach. Wonderful overall and would highly recommend!

Dr. Blanc is amazing. The whole staff are very nice and friendly. We came to his practice because we had bad experience with other dentist my daughter had some anxiety. Ever since coming here nothing be great things! she loves coming, she does not feel anxious. And my boys love it as well. They feel at ease. Nothing but the best experience!!

DC Pediatric Smiles exceeded all of our expectations in a pediatric dentistry experience. Dr. Blank, the hygienists, and his entire staff were absolutely wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable. Our boys were smiling from start to finish and having an orthodontist at their office is also such a wonderful convenience. Our only regret is that we didn't switch to this office sooner!

Dr. Banks' office has become one of our favorite places to visit. It never feels like a task. My 4 year old daughter is so well taken care of. From the cleanliness of the office to the A plus service , we are so satisfied . We are happy we found Dr. Banks . Very friendly , easily approachable , amazing doctor and staff . My only wish is that there were places as great for adult dental care.

Great place because they take insurance. Not a great place if you have a child with anxiety or special needs. Staff are unable to adjust their practices, including how they talk to kids, or think out of the box to meet unique needs.

We went to DC Pediatric Smiles for the first time today and has an incredible experience! I was worried the appointment would be a disaster with my toddler, but she had so much fun. And the entire team was amazing--friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable. And the office was gorgeous--like a spa for kids. I wish I could get my teeth cleaned there!

Absolutely love this practice! The staff is so warm, wonderful, attentive and caring. I came with my two-year-old who had a bad first dental experience at a different practice and DC Pediatric Smiles were absolutely amazing with her! She loved her experience. It was quick and easy and fun!! We're looking forward to coming back and Tyler recommends this place.
