Dr. Aleeahna Phan grew up in Biloxi, MS. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and minor in biology from the University of San Francisco, she continued her education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2011.
In 2012, Dr. Phan relocated to Austin. She quickly realized a need in the Austin community for uninsured childrens access to oral healthcare. It was then that Dr. Phan and her husband Thomas founded Hapii-n-Healthy Smiles, Inc., a nonprofit organization for uninsured children under the age of 17 that provides free checkups and cleanings.
Dr. Phan is a member of the American Dental Association and was named one of America's Top Dentists by the Consumers Research Council of America in 2015, 2016, and 2017. In her spare time, Dr. Phan enjoys traveling, watching NFL football, especially the New Orleans Saints, and trying new local restaurants with her husband and new daughter Ava.
Dr. Krystal Liu grew up in Los Angeles, CA. Graduating at the top of her class, she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The University of Southern California, Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Liu moved to Austin to be closer to family and joined the Daylight Dental team in early 2018. Dr. Liu takes pride in building trusting relationships to put our patients at ease. She combines skill with compassion to provide the best possible care. Dr. Liu has made patient education her top priority so our patients can make the best decision for their oral health.
Additionally, Dr. Liu enjoys giving back to the community. For several years she volunteered at the AYUDA Humanitarian Dental and Medical Organization in Los Angeles, CA, where she provided oral health care to underprivileged patients in the community. Currently, she participates in the Hapii-n-Healthy Smiles Program, providing free exams and cleanings to uninsured children.
Dr. Liu is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Liu enjoys learning and practicing the Spanish language, exploring new restaurants, cooking, swimming, and watching movies.
Dr. Joo Cho grew up in Austin and graduated with highest honors from The University of Texas at Austin in 2008. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School in 2013.
Dr. Cho has had several years of experience working with children and adults as she provides a comforting, communicative approach to dentistry free of intimidation and fear. She is a huge advocate of continuing education and has recently completed her training with the Academy of Gp Orthodontics.
Additionally, Dr. Cho is dedicated to giving back to the community by participating in the Hapii-n-Healthy Smiles, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides checkups and cleanings to uninsured children.
Dr. Cho is a member of the American Dental Association and is fluent in Korean. In her spare time, she enjoys practicing photography, volunteering with her church, and spending time with her husband, Dr. Cho, and her daughter Leah.
Gissel grew up in El Paso, Texas and in 2015, she moved to Austin. She started working at Daylight Dental when we first opened our doors. Gissel graduated from El Paso Dental Assisting School and plans to go to dental hygiene school in the near future. She is very passionate about dentistry and enjoys teaching patients how to keep their smiles healthy. In her free time, Gissel likes to hang out with friends, go on road trips, and explore new ...
Yaquelin is our newest clinical dental assistant. She was born and raised in Austin and recently graduated from Texas Dental Assistant School. Yaquelin loves meeting new patients and takes pride in the fact that she helps improve smiles every day. In her spare time, Yaquelin likes to spend time with her family and fianc Jonny.
Natalie is one of our newest team members and an Austin, Texas native. She is one of our front office coordinators and she is currently attending Dental Assisting School of Kyle. Natalie prides herself in great customer service skills and is one of the first faces our patients see when they are greeted at the door. When she is not working, Natalie loves to spend time with her family and enjoys going shopping.
This was such a pleasant experience. I was anxious to go to the dentist because I havent been in 2 years, but this was such a pain free experience. Everyone was so nice and professional and they removed all my stains! Definitely would recommend.

The good reviews are fake. Just click into the google profiles, the profiles leave the same fake good review for another dentistry Hapii dental. The two places are both owned by the same dentist. If you look up who owns these places but the same dentist is not at both places, very sketchy. Response to commenter: It would be surprising for you to have a patient with only the name M. I have gone to one of your locations and have seen how you tried to scam my family members, the poor job you all did doing a less than 10 minute cleaning and charging insurance for that. Then I come see your reviews and they're nearly all fake. I am just here to warn others about it, don't fall for the seemingly good reviews, if you click into the profiles most of them leave almost the exact same good review (the exact same words) for the other dentistry or they are accounts that have only one review. The google accounts are fake and so are the reviews. I would upload picture evidence but you all block those types of reviews so others can't see them. It's shameful and appalling that you all reply to the fake good reviews, I'm sure you all "verified" those fake patients are real. Stop taking advantage of people in need, let them see your real rating.

I scheduled a cleaning last week and it was a frustrating experience. First, they told me the wrong appointment time on the phone (they said 2pm), but when I called to confirm that they told me it was 1:30pm and they didn't have the 2pm open. They also told me the cost would be out of pocket bc my insurance wasn't covering it. Given the mix up in the time, and them letting me know about the out of pocket cost right before the appointment, I was hoping I could reschedule to a time I could afford to pay that (and that was the correct time for my schedule). However, they told me I would have to pay a late cancellation fee that came to almost the same amount as out of pocket cost.. so I figure, okay, guess I'll move things around in my day and come to this appointment today. I show up and they made me wait for so long that I ended up being seen for the original agreed upon time at 2pm! this was really frustrating considering I moved a lot of things around in my day to avoid the late cancellation fee. Then when I was seen, there was an even longer wait for the dentist and the dental assistants - for a 1:30 appointment I ended up being seen by the dentist at 2:45. She said I had four cavities when I went to a different doctor 6 months prior and they said I had none - and I haven't had cavities in more than 5 years. I noticed another reviewer said the same thing happened; wish I had seen that before this appointment. The dentist also ended up accidentally pulling out a part of my permanent retainer but didn't say anything - I had to bring it to the hygienist's attention. I've never had that happen to me before at any dentist, but they kept saying it "usually happens" and then it became a whole ordeal where they were saying I might still be charged for their mistake... at the end I had to cancel more of my day's plans to be able to stay there and have the doctor fix it right then and there. They fortunately did not charge me for that but I was frustrated it was even a consideration. My 1:30 appointment finally finished at 4pm, and they asked me if I could leave a review to waive the cost of the fluoride so now it's making more sense to me why there were so many high reviews. The front staff was kind, but I have never had this kind of experience going to a dentist before. I definitely won't be going back.

Decent place for cleanings, although they will try to sell you on a "recommended" procedure every time you visit. DO NOT use their teeth whitening service. It was $450 and my teeth didn't get any lighter. They basically stick a whitening tray in your mouth for 60 minutes and afterward your teeth hurt for weeks. Complete rip-off.

I've been mean to my mouth -- I'm talking years of neglect due to anxiety around dental care and I'm so glad I found Daylight Dental. On my first visit a few months ago, Dr. Phan addressed all my dental issues without judgment and swiftly made a plan for repair and maintenance. Since then I've been back for a cleaning and that was also a painless experience. All of the dental techs I've had are SO incredibly nice and patient as well. The office is very clean and welcoming. I feel like I'm in good hands here, highly recommend!

I got two crowns done here and highly regret it. From the beginning I felt it was a mistake but thought it couldn't get any worse. Well, now 7 months later both of my crowns came out two weeks apart. I had them re-cemented at another location but was told if they fall out again I'll have to get them re-done. Crowns are way too expensive to have to get them re-done less than a year later. I don't remember the dentists name the did them here but for cleanings they are fine. If you need some real dental work, save time and money in the long run and go to another location.

Dr Phan was amazing. My situation occurred unexpectedly and I just moved here. I didn't think I would have luck finding someone same day. But Daylight got me in with Dr Phan on a Saturday (next day). She diagnosed my fractured tooth and gave me a temp filling till I could come back in 2 days for the crown. She was kind, put me at ease and went right to work. I'm very satisfied with her and she will be my new local Dentist moving forward. I highly recommend Dr Phan!

Walked in for a dental emergency because they were the closest open office on a Saturday. They we able to work me in and fix a broken filling that was half of my entire front tooth. And it looks amazing!!!! Couldn't be happier and so grateful they were able to help me in a pinch
