Originally from Georgia, Dr. Dawson is excited to provide outstanding patient care right here in Charlotte, NC. Her love for restoring smiles began in high school when she had the opportunity to shadow a dentist. Observing the unique and lasting doctor-patient relationships that dentists hold and their ability to empower confidence with a healthy, radiant smile, she immediately knew she wanted to uplift others as a dentist.
Dr. Dawson credits her passionate and diligent work ethic to her significant background in gymnastics and competitive cheerleading, winning two state championships and one world championship in competitive cheerleading. This led her to the University of Oregon, a frontrunner and powerhouse in the sport of Acrobatics and Tumbling. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree, she achieved her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Howard University College of Dentistry and completed her General Practice Residency (GPR) at NYU Lutheran Medical Center.
When shes not caring for patients, she enjoys traveling with her husband, reading self-improvement books, listening to podcasts, and playing with her pup! For Dr. Dawson, sports continue to be an essential part of her everyday life. You can catch her judging for Acrobatics and Tumbling meets, cheering on her favorite football teams, and keeping up with competitive gymnastics.

My 4 year old had her very first dental appointment here at Dawson Modern Dentistry ! The experience was everything we could have hoped it to be. Everyone here is so kind and patient, very nurturing and capable of conveying the importance of good dental hygiene to a small child. Had a wonderful cleaning here. Very polite and attentive staff. The office is brand new and features state of the art technology as far as I can tell. They have a lot of lovely amenities to make going to the dentist as pain-free and enjoyable as possible. And they are all so gentle and communicative, making sure I understood what was happening at each step. My hygienist was Katie and she was so friendly and very thorough. I usually dread that part of my cleaning and she made me feel so comfortable and the cleaning flew by. Definitely recommend this dentist if you're looking for one!

Such a great visit! All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The office was super modern and the TVs on the ceiling were a great distraction. I felt super comfortable and appreciated how they took time being very gentle. Would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

I came here for a chipped tooth while on vacations in North Carolina. The facilities are well taken care of and it even smells good inside. While you are getting your teeth worked on they turn off the lights and you can put whatever you want on the TV that's on the roof, and listen on the headphones they provide. This is great but you don't even need it with how engaged they are with their patients. Also, they don't have the huge light over your head like every other dentist I have been to, they just a small light on their head and they even give you glasses so it does not bother your eyes. Katie performed a dental cleanup and explained the whole process like I have never been explained at a dentist office before. She took her time and did an AWESOME job and was SUPER friendly. Dr Dawson was also super nice and detailed and did a great job repairing my chipped tooth! Everyone, literally everyone in this office is super nice from the moment you come in, until you go out. If I could describe this place in a few words it would be: A spa for you teeth. I would never miss a dentist appointment if I lived here! Thank you for an amazing experience!

This was the friendliest and most appealing dentist office I have ever been to. The entire staff made my family feel comfortable and cared about. We were given all the attention and love in the world. The tv on the ceilings were an amazing touch!!

From the moment walking into Dawson Modern Dentistry, I felt welcomed. I was given tour of office which is new and clean with all the most modern equipment. The cleaning and introductory care was professionally completed by Katie. Dr Dawson completed exam and explained concerns and prioritized all necessary future procedures. Raquel at front desk completed the day with all required information and assisted with personal questions. Definitely will return and would highly recommend this office!!

I'm switching my whole family to this dentist. I had a few things done and they took excellent care of me. The service and staff are top notch not to mention very good prices. If you want a great dentist that doesn't make you feel like just another paying customer I recommend you give them a shot, you will not be disappointed.

Great experience!. Went in for a consultation and everyone was so friendly and helpful. I've had my fare share of bad dental experiencies, but after talking with Dr. Dawson and staff I could tell they genuinely care. Dr Dawson listens to your concerns and answers your questions without rushing. That is very important to me. All the staff is great and friendly. I'm looking forward to future visits.

Just visited this practice (first timer). I could write a book on the phenomenal experience I had, from entering the office to leaving. Dr. Dawson has a strong team. I am glad I chose this office in my return back to NC. The entire staff was friendly and thorough. You can really tell they want to leave an impression. Big thanks to Kate my hygienist! She was very nice and even checked my blood pressure one more time before I left since it was elevated when I came in. That level of care even when I was done showed me a lot :) I can actually say I'm looking forward to coming back to the dentist in a few weeks
