I love this place. We've been going here for years and every visit is always comforting and welcoming. All the staff and Dr are very nice. The office is very clean as well. Most importantly, my daughter loves it here and feels very comfortable at every visit. Thank you Kids Care Dentistry!!

Horrible and total bad practice, in my personal opinion. This is my opinion based upon personal experience with Davis Kids Dentist. The practice used to be good, under Dr. Mandelaris, but after he retired -- last few years it's been a nightmare (in my opinion). The new practice (a dentist that has since departed) took thousands of dollars for braces for my child with special needs and then told us their dentist should not have put braces on and used the wrong type. The braces were then removed. Teeth were never corrected. No refund and given the incompetence, a credit is not worth it for us. Our child will need braces since this dental practice totally failed him. We will look elsewhere for a dentist that is competent and trustworthy. If I could select zero stars, I would have. Look around before you choose a dentist in Davis. Be very, very cautious and skeptical if you are serious about your health and well being.

My young child was seen at Davis Kids Dentist after stating that her tooth was "tingling." Our child did not complain of pain, or any other symptoms, just that sometimes her tooth tingled. We got xrays done, and the contracting dentist indicated that one of her molars needed to be removed, and 2 others may need to be extracted as well (from the top). We asked if there was anything that could be done to save the tooth, and the contracting dentist was adamant there was not. He assured us he doesn't normally extract teeth, but that this tooth needed to go. We trusted his opinion, he seemed so sure, and had the tooth extracted and a bridge put in to keep her other teeth in place. We decided to wait on the top two teeth as these were not bothering her at all, and get a second opinion. We questioned the long term impacts of having 3 molars on one side extracted, and was concerned that this may be an orthodontic issue later on, as there was no way to secure a bridge for the other 2 he wanted extracted. We have since learned that we were duped, and the consequence is a permanently removed tooth on a little child. When we started getting additional opinions, we learned a few things. 1) The extracted tooth could have been saved, xrays showed no infection and there was structure to the tooth. 2) The xrays were so poorly done at Davis Kids Dentist, that the top 2 teeth the contracting dentist was ready to extract next time weren't even fully visualized on the xrays. We got another set of xrays done, at a new facility, which actually showed the top teeth. How does a dentist ethically make a treatment plan for teeth he cannot even fully visualize? As it turns out, these can also be saved with a filling and a crown. When we had asked Davis Kids Dentist about saving those teeth, the contracting dentist talked about having to saw off the top of the tooth, put medicine inside, and then glue it back on. It sounded terribly invasive and painful for a young child. Really, these just need a filling and a crown. I fully believe we were being scared into more extractions, for whatever reason, likely financial as our first extraction ($700) was as much money as the treatment for the top two teeth at the new dentist, and we get to keep the teeth. 3) The contracting dentist was so busy making a plan for the teeth he could not visualize, that he actually missed 2 small cavities on the other side. They are small enough that they will only need minor treatment now, but the contracting dentist had even told us that my child's left side was "perfect" and yet he was incorrect again. So, I called Davis Kids Dentist with my concerns. We go to these specialty dental clinics with the idea that they will do right by our kids. They did not. They are money driven, and it is no longer the local family dentist as it was when Dr. Mandelaris ran the practice. It is now run by Kids Care Dental chain, and it shows. I spoke with a woman at the front desk about my concerns and she assured me my concerns would be brought to the manager who would contact me. Two weeks later and we have yet to hear from the manager. Apparently the dentist we saw isn't usually at Davis Kids Dentist, not sure where he is usually, because the manager never did call us. Their lack of concern for the wellbeing and long term treatment of children are astounding. Clear unethical practice, and we can't even get a return phone call? Davis Kids Dentist should be ashamed of what they've become.

They handled me and my kids so well. I came in with my 3 year old and 16 months old kid. My little one was not very happy but they sang for him and he could color little too that was given to him by the lady at the reception. When we had our time my older one needed to go to the bathroom but we never felt that we where rushed. They said we could take our time and where so kind the whole time. Very good experience and my older one was so happy proud after the visit.

My kids have liked going here since they were toddlers. However, on our most recent visit, I was not treated well by the office staff and my child was diagnosed with several cavities, which a follow-up x-ray and second opinion showed did not exist. When I asked the office to forward my children's medical records, the wrong x-rays were sent.

This is a great place to bring kids. They get to watch movies and be surrounded by other kids. It is a positive experience. The only problem we have had is they do require written authorization from a parent everytime before they will see your child if someone else is bringing them. This has caused my mother much grief when she has tried to take them but otherwise a great place.
