Dr. Robert Bob Davis was born and raised in Longview. He graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1978. He then went on to Stephen F. Austin University where he met his future wife, Linda. After completing his studies at Baylor College of Dentistry in 1985, Dr. Davis returned to Longview with his new wife to open his practice and start a family. As many of you know, Dr. Davis is very proud to have been serving his patients in the same location for the last 36 years. Dr. Bob and Linda share two beautiful daughters, Maddie and Carly. Dr. Davis is also very excited about his new family addition and future copilot, Harry. Linda and Dr. Bob are very proud grandparents and love spending time with their grandson. They look forward to more, but they have been told one is enough for now. In his spare time, Dr. Bob has been a licensed pilot for 47 years and will use just about any reason he can find to fire up his beloved Bonanza. No matter where hes at or what hes doing he can be wheels up in fifteen minutes.
Dr. Davis is so thankful for the opportunity to treat the oral health needs of his East Texas community since 1985. It has been his pleasure to provide quality and compassionate care to his patients during that time and looks forward to continuing that legacy in the future. In January of 2020, Dr. Davis and Dr. Hughes began working together, and they are very excited about continuing to treat the needs of their patients going forward.
Mona joined our practice in 2010. She is one of the three friendly faces in our front office. Mona loves chatting with our patients and making them feel welcome to our practice. Mona has been married to her high school sweetheart for 48 years. They have two sons and three grands that they absolutely adore!!
Kathy has been working as a dental hygienist for Dr. Davis since 1989. She graduated from TWU in 1982 and brings years of practical experience to the practice. Kathy and her husband live in Gilmer and have two grown sons. The true lights in her life are her two grandchildren. She loves the beach and spends most of her free time outdoors. Kathy brings a very down-to-earth approach to patient care. She has developed relationships and has done life with many of her patients.
Dora started her journey as a registered dental assistant in 1977. She joined Dr. Davis' dental family in 2014. She is very dedicated to her dental family by ensuring patients comfort and ease during their visits. She will try to lighten the mood during procedures even though she can't tell a joke without messing it up. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her two sons and grandchildren.
Wesley joined the practice in 2020, she is one of the faces you will see when you come in the door and one of the voices that will greet you when you call the office. She works primarily with insurance and presenting treatment to patients. She spends her days ensuring we get insurance to cover as much of your work as possible. Outside of the office, she enjoys the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, and mountain biking. Her latest challenge is golf but loves anything outside.
Lisa started her dental career over 20 years ago at an orthodontic office in the Houston area. In 2012 she remarried and relocated to East Texas where she attended hygiene school. Lisa graduated from TJC in 2016 and has been with our office since 2018. When she is not talking, laughing, or educating our patients, you'll find her around town chauffeuring her teenage daughter, watching her cheer at a Friday night game, or home snuggling with her two schnauzers. Family is the most important to Lisa next to great oral hygiene because the most important thing you can wear is a beautiful smile.
Amanda is our newest member, joining the practice in 2021 but has been in the dental field since 2013. She assists Dr. Hughes and although she is passionate about many things, she feels very blessed to be able to fulfill her passion of caring for people and dentistry, all in one. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her children, Dalmation Nigel, family, and friends!
