An Invisalign dentist can provide patients with a series of teeth-straightening aligner trays, which are ideal for those looking for a discreet tooth straightening option. Invisalign is a commonly chosen teeth-straightening option offered at Davis & Dingle Family Dentistry.

While most people invest in teeth straightening treatment for the uniform appearance they create, they can also benefit one's oral health. However, investing in various types of options will produce different results. As an Invisalign dentist, we can provide patients with a professional, efficient and customizable teeth straightening treatment.

Invisalign involves a series of clear plastic aligner trays that discreetly fit over the teeth. Along with being difficult to notice, they are easy for patients to remove when eating, brushing teeth, playing sports, taking pictures and more. As long as the patient wears the aligners for at least 22 hours a day, they can enjoy the versatility of Invisalign and avoid the frustration of traditional metal braces.

As an Invisalign dentist, our team straightens teeth using a series of aligners. First, an impression of your teeth is taken so that a series of aligners can be created in a dental lab. The aligners themselves are made out of a thermoplastic material that is strong and at the same time flexible in order to be comfortable when worn for long periods of time. The material is virtually invisible.

The aligners should be worn for 22 hours a day and every two weeks; they need to be switched out with the next one in the series. Over a period of months, the aligners will slowly move teeth into place, making one minor adjustment at a time that is targeted to specific teeth. This helps your teeth to be comfortable as they are moved into position at a manageable pace. Once you are done wearing your aligners, your teeth should be perfectly straight.

Some patients need to wear attachments or ridges in order to ensure that their teeth move into place perfectly. An attachment is a clear bump that is made of an enamel colored composite and secured to the teeth. Bumps on your aligners will grip them in order to hold the aligner in place. Ridges work in a similar way only an indent is created instead of a raised bump. This can be necessary for more complicated cases to ensure that a particular tooth, or several teeth, move into place like they should.

Unlike wearing traditional braces, Invisalign will not make a major impact on your quality of life. Since the aligners are clear, it will not impact your appearance. Additionally, since they only need to be worn for 22 hours a day, they will not interfere with eating. This is a huge advantage because you can eat your favorite plate of ribs, go out for a romantic date, eat a caramel apple without worrying about something becoming stuck in your teeth or a wire being pulled out of place. This time also allows you to take the aligner out when having an important conversation or making a presentation at work. Overall, this is a convenient way to straighten your teeth and provides the maximum level of flexibility.

Some people are concerned about whether or not wearing an aligner will impact their speech. Most of our Columbia patients tell us that they have to get used to wearing aligners after the first couple of days. Sometimes, patients have a slight lisp which goes away once they become used to speaking while wearing them. This is standard with any orthodontic procedure but fortunately; most people can speak normally within a couple of days.

There is a wide range of issues that Invisalign clear aligners can be used to treat, including gaps in the teeth. Also known as diastema, spaces can appear between the front teeth that can be visible when a person smiles. While there are often no oral health issues that develop due to diastema, some people

The best dentist office ever! This is the only dentist I have had that cares enough about me to offer small talk They also are completely focused on my needs and laser focused on me not experiencing pain. They always numb me up before working on my teeth and also once I'm done they gave me an anti numbing dose so that I don't have the droopy mouth for 3 hours like I've experienced with others.

Choosing this dentist was the worst mistake ever! Dr. Davis is very unprofessional and his bedside manner is horrible! I've paid over 800$ for a crown that has not been placed due to temporary crown continuously coming off after letting him know this several times. I tried to have temp placed numerous times w no call back from staff here! I was then dismissed from the practice & am now walking around w a tooth exposed for his negligence! I am now chasing them down for a refund that has yet to be processed & they will not issue a check for a service improperly rendered. I would not pay him or his incompetent staff to do work in my dogs mouth!

I have had a lot of dental work done here the past few years. The last time I go in for a crown, Dr Davis numbs me up, tears out my filling, Grinds on my tooth and then decides my mouth is too small and he can't finish. So now I've got a temporary filling in a gnawed up tooth, that had a permanent filling in it before he started, and a huge bill to pay from a specialist to fix what he did. Avoid this place.

I called to schedule an appointment and have been for the past few months. They don't call you back and hang up on you when you call to make an appointment. Not good customer service at all and when I called back.

5 stars to get your attention, will not recommend. Due to sketchy billing practices and lack of communication of changes inside of their company.. they fail to update you on changes until after procedures are done and try to leave you with the bill.. this has happened to me before when I was initially introduced to them (2014) when it came to my cavities and fillings. I was told that my insurance would cover the procedure when in fact my insurance was not going to cover my procedure and I was left with 100% of 2000+ dollars and then on recent events when they combined practices with another company my "in network" insurance (2014) was no longer considered "in network" (2020) they failed to tell me what they already knew six months ago (09/27/2021)when I came for what was supposed to be a free 6 month cleaning. then set me up for a new appointment six months later (03/24/2022) and after the appointment and cleaning, decided to inform me that I had a balance from previous cleaning and the cleaning that was just preformed because I'm no longer in network. This is unacceptable and they should be held accountable for misleading and misrepresentation and fraud. I have spoken with Ms. Gates on 3/25 and 4/11 to have the matter cleared. We will see what happens. below are pictures of contact, they have contacted to verify appointments but have not contacted to update clients on internal changes that could possibly affect them.
