Dr. Jeremy Davidson completed his undergraduate degree in Business at the University of San Diego in 1992. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington in 1999 where he earned the American Academy of Oral Medicine award.
Dr. Davidson then chose to serve our country and entered the United States Navy Dental Corps. Following a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in San Diego, Dr. Davidson served four years as a general dentist at Naval Station Naples, Italy.
After being selected as the fellow to the Chief of the Dental Corps, he and his family moved to Bethesda, Maryland where he worked for the Admiral for a year at the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Davidson completed his orthodontic residency where he had significant training with surgical orthodontics in San Antonio, Texas at Wilford Hall Medical Center in 2008.
Upon graduation, Dr. Davidson fulfilled his military obligation by serving as Orthodontic Department Head at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia working with oral surgery residents. He treated over one hundred surgical orthodontic cases and was a craniofacial board member treating cleft lip and cleft palate cases, as well as other craniofacial anomaly patients. During his career as a Navy dentist, Dr. Davidson achieved the rank of Commander and was awarded four Navy Commendation medals. After thirteen years of service, Dr. Davidson and his family made the decision to settle down and open his orthodontic practice in Virginia Beach.
Dr. Davidson is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Tidewater Dental Association and the Tidewater Orthodontic Society where he served for two years as President of the organization. He is also a member of the Southern Association of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists.
He and his wife, Mary-Jeanne, have three children, Cade, Amara Cookie and Hadley. He enjoys running, biking, golfing, helping with his sons scout troop and participating in church and community service activities.
Self-ligating braces are similar to conventional braces in function and form, but they lack the metal or elastic ties (also known as ligatures) used in traditional braces to help guide movement of the teeth. Instead, self-ligating braces employ moveable brackets to hold and control the archwires, which are the source of pressure that bring your teeth into alignment and replace the ligatures of traditional braces.
The benefit of self-ligating brackets is that the wire is free to slide with less friction, which means faster treatment. Elastic ties tend to discolor and are difficult to keep clean, so self-ligating brackets are more aesthetically pleasing and hygienic.
Ceramic brackets are specially cut from a single crystal of pure sapphire. These brackets provide the highest level of comfort, are clear and virtually invisible. They are also designed to be the strongest bracket available. Being cut from crystal and treated with heat until smooth ensures a solid bracket that is remarkably strong, and less likely to crack or break.

Fast, friendly, and affordable! I was trying to find a place where my insurance was accepted and when I saw the glowing reviews on Google, I immediately booked my appointment. I went in trying to get a second opinion and quote and wow I was blown away when I went here. Everyone was attentive and kind - I don't think I went more than five minutes without anyone checking up on me. The office was clean, smelled nice, and everything about it was great! Dr. Davidson was very thorough in his assessments and I was surprised by how affordable Invisalign/retainers were here. They are very military-friendly and I highly recommend this place to anyone that's looking for braces/retainers.

Davidson orthodontics is great, Dr. Davidson definitely knows what he is doing, and him and all of his assistants and the people that work there are very friendly and knowledgeable. They make sure everything is right before you leave so everything goes to plan as much as possible. They made my experience with braces much better than it would have been anywhere else.

I absolutely loved my time at Davidson Orthodontics. The staff is always smiling, friendly and ready to help. I always looked forward to all my appointments there. I cannot imagine a better Orthodontist office! Everybody who works here is so kind, caring, and remember your name (which might sound strange but it means a lot). All of the employees clearly love their job, and the quality of the service provided has been nothing less than extraordinary. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone and everyone who needs braces or Invisalign! Super big shout out to Kathy for doing such an awesome job and for making my appointments fun! It was obvious that she is extremely good at her job, and is clearly a hard worker!

Davidson is the best especially for military personnel! I had braces on for a short period beforehand, but needed more fixed and within a couple years my smile went from crookedness to not. Everytime you come into the office your met with office personnel who knows you and try to make it personable. Do yourself a good thing and come here!
