Dr. Russell enjoys life. He feels blessed to have a wonderful wife (Carol), 4 children (all with spouses) and 13 grandchildren. He loves to serve his church and local communities. Dr. Russell's hobbies include videography, RV camping and traveling.
Dr. Russell joined with his father (Richard Russell) in 1985 to begin practicing dentistry and has built a loyal clientele since then. He appreciates the opportunity to help his patients to maintain healthy mouths and teeth. He recognizes the somewhat stressful nature of dental treatment and endeavors to be gentle and caring for all of his patients.
Dr. Russell has lived in the East County since 1959-attended Riverview, Winter Gardens and WD Hall elementary Schools, Greenfield Jr High and Granite Hills High School. He graduated from BYU with a BA in Zoology in 1982 and from University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco in 1985.

Dr Russell is definitely a skilled Dentist. I have had nothing but great experiences with the work he has done for me. He and his staff, have always made me feel like family. I recommend Dr Russell and his amazing staff to anyone looking for wonderful dental care.

Hands down best dental office Iv been to in a while. I had a filling done and it was the easiest experience Iv had getting treatment done. He's very patient and caring. Patty the hygienist is awesome as well, she too was very patient and caring and made my cleaning very enjoyable. Connie in the front staff is as sweet as can be, she was the one that helped me schedule my appointments and explained my treatment plan. I will definitely be returning to this office for future visits.

I visited this dentist about 5 years ago, and he suggested doing 3 crowns and a root canal in a single visit. I wanted to get all the work done with, but I regret trying to fit so much in. Two of the three crowns have fallen out and had to be replaced by another dentist. My new dentist said that a critical step was skipped when cementing the crowns, and that's why they've fallen out. Perhaps we just tried to do too much at once, but it has cost me many more repair visits, and I can't recommend Dr. Russell based on my experience.

The care was fine. Comparable to other dentists I've been to. The woman running the office and billing is incompetent. Told me an xray would be covered and when it wasn't sent me the bill. Gave me a price for a crown which I paid on the day of. Got a bill a few weeks later for what the insurance did not cover. I'm done with this dentist. Never had a dentist tell me what the service would cost and then bill me more after the fact.

Great office! Was looking for a new dentist since moving to San Diego, and I found him. Dr Russell and his staff are very personable, and made me feel right at home. I go back last week for the first time, understanding what was going on. I felt confident and I'm now looking forward to get a cleaning done, as well as my fillings.
