Dr. David White has provided complete family and cosmetic dentistry to Northern Nevada since 2004. He earned his undergraduate degree locally at the University of Nevada Reno. During matriculation at UNR, Dr. White participated in many extracurricular activities and was elected to the Associated Students of University of Nevada. In addition, he earned numerous academic scholarships and was awarded Senior of the Year in 1999. He attended the prestigious University of Michigan School of Dentistry where he was indoctrinated in their spirit and mission of developing leaders and citizens who will challenge the present and enrich the future. Dr. White is also dedicated to serving the local community. He has served as the advisor for the University of Nevada Predental Society since 2004. During which time the program has earned a national reputation for excellence and has matriculated over 700 students into dental school. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Nevada, Reno and University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. He currently sit on the advisor committees for the University of Nevada, Reno College of Science and the University of Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. He is currently the Vice Chair for the American Dental Association Council on Government Affairs. Dr. Whites philanthropy work continues to grow, and he is persistently searching for new ways to improve his community and state.
Dr. White has won numerous awards while practicing and serving his community. In 2008, he was awarded the 20 under 40 Award for work performed as a young professional. In 2010, Dr. White was awarded the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award from the University of Nevada, Reno. Each year between 2011-2013, Dr. White has been awarded prominent Golden Apple awards from the American Dental Association for work in leadership, mentoring and legislative activities.
During your first visit, our objective is to get to know you better, to become familiar with your past dental experiences and to establish a treatment plan that will best meet your current desires. When you arrive for your first visit, please be prepared to complete all insurance and health information forms.
Your initial exam will last approximately one hour. Dr. White will perform a thorough exam, and in most cases, we will also clean your teeth. Generally, X-rays will also be taken, allowing Dr. White to examine your mouth for teeth decay, periodontal problems, jaw problems and any signs of oral cancer. These diagnostic records will help your doctor provide an evaluation outlining any existing dental problems and proposed treatment. We encourage you to ask questions, and well be glad to discuss any concerns you may have.
