Dr Martin grew up in Alamo, Ca and followed in his father and brother's footsteps by entering the dental field. He graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Physiology. He then earned his dental Degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 2004. After graduating he worked in Half Moon Bay to help bring healthy smiles to the underserved in the area at a community clinic. He has been apart of the Lafayette community since 2007.
Today Dr. Martin spends his free time with his wife, Heather, and young son. He attends continuing education courses in order to expand his practice of dentistry and enjoys building long lasting relationships with his patients.
Dr. Alison Koop grew up in the Pacific Northwest near Seattle, Washington before moving to California for her undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at the University of Southern California. She continued her education in Los Angeles, earning a doctorate degree from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. After dental school, she completed a general practice residency at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in Downey, CA where her training focused on treating patients with special needs and disabilities. She later moved to western Pennsylvania with her husband where she split time working in private practice and teaching at the Center for Patients with Special Needs at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Koop is excited to be back seeing patients on the west coast. During her free time, she enjoys singing, cooking, trying new restaurants and exploring the bay area with her husband Andrew.

My wife and I have been under the care of Dr. Martin for several years. He has performed excellent dental work and is a caring and attentive dentist. He listens to his patients and responds to their input. What's especially important is the quality of his support staff. The receptionists, hygienists, and accounting staff are extremely friendly and responsive.

I was so impressed with my visit today with Dr Martin. He takes so much time explaining what he is looking at in your dental world and answering questions before you have time to ask them. I certainly give him and his asst. as well as the staff 5 stars!

I have been going to Dr. Martin for over 8 years. His staff are friendly and efficient. Dr. Martin is gentle and thoughtful of your comfort. He is an excellent dentist.

Dr. Martin has set the bar much higher for having a positive dental experience. Technically excellent, kind and compassionate with a terrific staff. Didn't know such a dentist existed. Sure glad I was referred to Dr. Martin!

Dr Martin and his team of admin and hygenists are absolutely the best. That's why my family has been coming to his office for so long. I wouldn't even consider changing my dentist. Everyone is warm, caring, friendly and professional. His practice is truley one of a kind!

I've been with Dr. Martin's practice for years and it's the best dental experience I've had (50+ yrs). Administration is very friendly, appointments are on-time, hygienists and the doc are great. I've never been sold on a process or procedure I didn't need, and they've been great about getting my college age kids in on short notice. My extended family is all here.
