Dr. David Johnson was raised in Northern Utah, in the city of Ogden. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School and went on to attend Weber State University. He graduated with a degree in Zoology in 1984. Following this, he began studying at Case Western Reserve University. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from this university in 1988. Dr. Johnson completed his specialty training in endodontics at the University of Alabama Birmingham in 1990. He has been an adjunct instructor at the University of Utah, teaching the general practice dental residents. Dr. Johnson has been in practice since 1990, focusing on providing high-quality, comfortable treatment. He strives to ensure a caring manner for all of his patients.
Dr. David Johnson served as President of the South Davis Dental District and the Utah Association of Endodontists. He volunteers with Smiles for Latin America, which helps young men and women prepare to serve missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He donates endodontic services for Bountiful Pantry Smiles to help the underserved of Davis County. Dr. Johnson is a member of the National Ski Patrol and has volunteered at Nordic Valley Ski Resort since 1999. He has been a trustee for the Mutton Hollow Improvement District since 2016. Dr. Johnson is married with 4 children.

Just had a root canal yesterday!!!! Dr. Johnson and his staff are fantastic!!! Could not believe how gentle and pain free the entire procedure went! I didn't even feel the shot....everything was pain free, professional, and chair side manner was very caring! Thank YOU!!!

Has always been a great help to our family when needed. I had a bad tooth that needed a root canal and was able to get in, in minimul time. Very professional and friendly staff. When in need of serious tooth issues I highly recommend coming here first.

I have had two root canals by Dr Johnson. Both were quite difficult do to blockages and calcification of the canals. He definitely used all his expertise to do a thorough job. One was done a year and a half ago and was so bad that it is still in the healing process. Each xrays shows continued improvement. The second one was two weeks ago. We caught it earlier than the first but it was still difficult. He informed me that I would be sore for a few days and that was true- again he had to use all his expertise to find canals and remove calcifications. It feels absolutely fantastic 2 weeks out. Glad we caught this one early. Dr. Johnson and his staff are terrific. I highly recommend them. I went to the Centerville location.

I had to have two different root canals done, I went to a Endodontist here in Bountiful with high reviews, he did a good job but it cost 1500. I went to Dr. Duke and he recommended Dr. David Johnson, I looked at his reviews and they were very good. So I went to his Centerville office and was very please with his work and very happy with only having to pay 1100 for a rear molar

Dr. Johnson is so kind he has a gentle touch and will work with you through your anxiety. He will answer all your questions, show you your x-rays, explain your procedure options and then help you through your nervousness during the procedure. He then explains all the steps of what you need to do during the healing process. His team is amazing as well! They are so kind, I got a thank you card in the mail. They truly are amazing people!

Dr. Johnson is great. I had to have a root canal redone after my (former) dentist, did a crappy, incomplete job. He did a great job and was able to put me at ease. If you ever need a root canal, don't let your dentist do it, got to an endodontist! And Dr. Johnson is definitely who I would recommend.
