Dr. Chavez grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of New Mexico, he moved to Colorado in 1989 and attended the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and a Bachelor of Medical Studies in 1993.
After dental school, Dr. Chavez obtained a position in the National Health Service Corp in which he managed a health clinic in Des Moines, IA. He later returned to Colorado and organized and managed the Stout Street Clinic for the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. He served in this position for a year and before moving on to receive experience as an associate dentist in an established private practice. Soon after, Dr. Chavez opened his current practice in Lakewood, CO.

I was referred to Dr Chavez by a friend and was extremely happy with my visit. Filled out paperwork as a first time patient and had minimal wait time before I was seen. Dr. Chavez and the staff were great to work with! Dr Chavez was very personable, knowledgeable, and informative. It was my favorite experience with a dentist! Highly recommend!
