Dr. Mayer or as many patients refer to him as Dr. Dave originally moved to Homewood in 1978. Dr. Mayer graduated from Bloom High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 from Loyola University of Chicago. In 1987 Dr. Mayer received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Illinois School of Dentistry. After working as an associate for three years, Dr. Mayer opened his own practice in Homewood in1990. In 2007 Dr. Mayer expanded to a larger updated office right next door to meet the needs of his clients.
Dr. Mayer has attended continuing education courses at the prestigious and nationally respected Pankey Institute and Dawson Academy which focuses on the Concept of Complete Dentistry. In addition, Dr. Mayer has taken continuing education in implants, crowns and veneers, esthetic fillings, anesthesia, infection control and more.
Dr. Mayer has lived in Flossmoor since 1991. He is married to his college sweetheart, Rosemary since 1985. They have 3 grown daughters that they are very proud of and who still enjoy their parents company.
My dental career began in 1977 as a certified dental assistantfrom Prarie State College. I later returned to PSC and graduated fromhygiene school in 1984. I worked in my first office as a dentalhygienist for 20 years. Most recently I worked 20 years at a localHomewood dental office. I have know Dr Dave and his staff for many yearsand am very glad to have joined this dental practice.
Deena is Dr. Mayers chairside assistant. She has been in the dental field for 15 years. Deena states what I enjoy most about what I do is helping the patients feel comfortable while we are treating them. When not working, Deena enjoys shopping, cooking and spending time with her pets.
