An honors graduate of both Valparaiso University, where he received his B.S. in biology and chemistry, and the University Of Illinois School Of Dentistry, Dr. McClenahan received his postgraduate Certificate as a Specialist in Periodontics at the University Of Illinois School Of Dentistry, where he was appointed an Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics. Dr. McClenahan has completed the Carl Misch Implant Fellowship at the Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, a program known throughout the world for its prestige and high level of professional training.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and was asked to address his colleagues on the Diplomate Certification process at their annual meeting. He has presented various topics in periodontics at the Chicago Dental Societys Midwinter meetings. He is a member of the dental staff at Lake Forest Hospital.
Dr. McClenahan is an active member of several national and professional organizations including the American Board of Periodontology, American Academy of Oral Implantology, American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society.

I was referred to Dr. McClenahan by my dentist upon learning that I'd need crown lengthening surgery. The experience was 5 stars. Dr. McClenahan provided a thorough explanation of the procedure, answered all my questions and took the time to insure that I was comfortable with what to expect. The entire staff from his surgical assistants to the administrative employees are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I have to say that this was the best experience I've ever had undergoing oral surgery. I highly recommend Dr. McClenahan and I'm appreciative of his thoughtful and thorough communication both before and after the procedure, along with his experience and superior surgical skills.

I have had gum surgeries done by Dr. McClenahan, using tissue from the roof of my mouth to address five different areas. His work is excellent. He has helped me preserve my teeth for which I am very grateful. I highly recommend him.

I've had a bone grafting and two dental implants done at this place by Dr. Mclenaham and I'm so disappointed with his job, the implants looked horrible to begin with so I confronted him about it and he just told me that at this point there wasn't anything that could be done to fix it. (after I spent thousands of dollars). It really upset me that before the treatment he says I was the perfect candidate for the implants and that I was going to be pleased wih the results. I realized now that he has no word nor honesty as a professional, he just wanted my money. If you are reading this review please stay away from this person. He is a liar and will fake a nice personality just to take your money.
