Dr. David Malin and his dedicated staff of 5 have been serving Asheboro since 1994. Conveniently located near the hospital on Foust St, the office provides a roomy and comfortable place to receive treatment. Graduating from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill in 1987 with a BS in Chemistry, he continued at Carolina dental school and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1991. He continued his education with a general practice residency program at Catholic Medical Center in New York. This residency program expanded his medical training.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Association, Randolph County Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry. In 1996 after 500 continuing education hours and a comprehensive written examination, Dr. Malin earned the honor of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.
When asked about his practice philosophy, Dr. Malin said 'I believe in giving the patient choices and enough information to make their own decisions while in a relaxed setting. Everyone that comes to see me, wants a range of possibilities and I try to explain the pros and cons of each choice.'
From routine dental exams, dental X-rays, dental cleanings, filling cavities, and minor dental surgery to more advanced procedures such as teeth whitening, dental implants, crowns, and other cosmetic and restorative dental procedures.
In addition to dental cleaning and checkups, we offer cosmetic dentistry services such as porcelain veneers, porcelain inlays, dental bonding, tooth contouring and reshaping, crowns, teeth whitening, dental bridges and tooth-colored fillings.

New Patient - Easy to book an appointment online, they sent the documents ahead of time so I could fill them out an not do a bunch of paperwork when I got there. Text message reminders leading up to appointment. Appointment started at the scheduled time, no wait for Dr. Malin to check teeth and X-rays. Didn't upcharge me for unnecessary treatment like my prior dentist. Cleaning was fast and no open mouth small talk (which is a good thing (: ). Booking next appointment was flexible. 10/10 will come again... in 6 months

My experience was what a health appointment should be; warm, inviting, informative, personal and encouraging. Everyone was kind and professional. Any anxiety I had melted away as soon as I was welcomed in to the facility. Best cleaning ever!

Had a thorough cleaning and exam today. Was on time and was very professional. Answered all of my questions. Unfortunately we have now had to find a new dentist. The dentist was great but the staff repeatedly messed up filing our insurance and then would call us demanding money before the insurance ever paid. We always pay our bills on time and we're treated like we were trying to avoid paying. The staff needs better training on how to properly file insurance claims and being more polite when calling. We have an excellent credit rating and find it annoying when we're demanded to pay a bill that has not been properly filed. We will miss the dentist but not his inconsiderate staff.

Dr. Making and his staff are very prompt and professional. I was in and out in approximately 30 minutes for my regular cleaning and biannual examination. The hygienist did a very good job and Dr. Malin completed a thorough exam.
