Care Dental Associates, the office of Drs. Hyman and Dandu, cares for families from Meriden and the surrounding communities with compassion and dedication to delivering an exceptional dental experience.
Dr. Hyman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Clark University in 1977. He attended the University of Maryland School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1981. He has been recognized as a top dentist by the Consumer Research Council of America.
Dr. Hyman is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, the Constitution and Bylaws Committee of the CSDA, and the Meriden Chamber of Commerce. He is currently vice chairman of Hartford HealthCare Corporations Board of Directors.
Dr. Hyman previously served as president of the Meriden-Wallingford-Cheshire Dental Society and the Visiting Nurse Association of Meriden. In addition, Dr. Hyman served as chairman of the Dental Peer Review Committee, as well as chairman, director emeritus and a member of the Board of Directors for MidState Medical Center.
In the 40 years since I've been in practice, our patients have benefited from new techniques and state-of-the art technology, which has improved dental health and enhanced attractive smiles. What hasn't changed since my father began this practice 70 years ago has been our unwavering commitment to our patients and our personal service.
In addition to earning a dental degree and residency in Periodontics in India, Dr. Dandu furthered her dental training and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
She is a caring and compassionate practitioner dedicated to understanding patient concerns. She has provided dental services to those less fortunate, including volunteering for Give Kids a Smile, the USC Mobile Clinic which provides free dental care to children of migrant workers throughout Central California, and the First Choice Health Center mobile van which serves the needs of children in Hartford and Tolland county.
Each member of our treatment team is highly skilled and has years of experience in treating patients. We strive to stay abreast of the latest advances in dental techniques and technology by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars sponsored by the Connecticut State Dental Association and other dental organizations. I've been going there for many years and I just love this dentist. I especially love the hygienist Liz. Customer service is fantastic, I never have to wait, they're always on time. I can't rave enough about this place everyone should go here !!!! This is one of the places where the five star reviews are actually true !

Since the first time I stepped in, staff made me feel so comfortable. Today was my second visit and I got my ex rays done and they were all so professional and patient. It made me feel like they really want to help me. I was always nervous to go to dentist and anxious about that first visit , since it has been so long since my previous visit, but they made me feel like wanting to go back. Thank you guys

Very professional, new technology where they slightly numb you and you don't even feel the needle going in to numb the certain areas of the mouth to do the work. I had deep scaling on half of my mouth and she did an excellent job along with tips and advice in caring for my gums etc. Excellent. - highly recommended.

I always enjoy going to this dentist. The dental hygienist is superb and thorough. I go there to keep my teeth in good shape and every time I leave with an excellent experience. I always like the little care package they give you on the way out. The new dentist is SO kind and interested in you. I have been going here for years and will continue! I understand that some people may be reluctant to go to the dentist. This is a professional business and they have very kind, gentle, and understanding people working there. Would definitely recommend.

I've been a patient of Dr. Hyman for at least 15 years. The Dr. and his staff are very friendly, courteous and professional. Every visit to his office is a pleasure. They are always on task and answer your questions and concerns. I highly recommend them and I would be lost if it were not for them. Would not feel comfortable anywhere else.

I contacted Dr. Dandu when my crown came off and my dentist was closed (on a Friday). They squeezed me in! Impeccable service! Now that my insurance changed yet again I'm going back to Dr. Dandu and couldn't be more pleased about it .

This is the BEST dental practice I have experienced. They are compassionate, caring, professional and entertaining. Normally having one's teeth cleaned is not something to look forward to? However, ask for Liz the hygienist and not only will you get the best cleaning of your life, you will be entertained along the way. The dentists are wonderful and Akita at the front is fantastic.

I've been going to Dr.Hyman's for years and he's hands down the best dentist I've ever had. Very thorough, willing to explain things to you, shows you images of where your cavities or trouble spots might be, involves you in your care, very personable. I had Dr.Dandu today and she was equally fabulous, very thorough and friendly. I always feel secure that they not only will catch everything that may be going on with my teeth, but also that I can trust them to tell me if it actually needs to be fixed or just watched. I also enjoy their use of cameras and other technology to provide the best care and information

Dr Hyman had been my dentist all my life with the exception of the time his father ran the business before him. What can I say I feel very comfortable at the dentist never in pain and he is patient while doing the extras is numbing. He's the best and I'm sure any new partners will be almost as good .
