Dr. David Wright decided he would become a dentist at a young age, inspired by his own dentist and his love of science. He graduated in 1987 with a DDS degree, and later went back to the University of Michigan to get his MBA.
Dr. Ashna Rao was drawn to dentistry by her desire to build relationships and inspire others to lead healthy lives. Dr. Rao earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Detroit Mercy and subsequently entered the School of Dentistry there.
At the practice of David A. Wright, DDS, PC, you can expect total, high-quality dental care for you and the whole family. We not only strive to offer patients of all ages the best professional dental care possible, we take the time to assess each patients problems and needs, as well as sit down and listen to each patients concerns.
We are a practice in that offers Braces, Periodontics, Root Canals, Dental Implants, Wisdom Teeth Extraction, Cosmetic Dentistry, Pediatric and Emergency Dentistry all in one place for your convenience. Our warm, friendly staff are courteous and professional, and can provide full service in English and some Spanish is available.
Other amenities at our practice include Cad/Cam same-day crowns and dental restorations, state-of-the-art oral cancer screening systems, intra-oral cameras and cephalometric x-rays. There are televisions and radio headphones in the operatory, televisions in the waiting area, and a play area for the kids. There is also plenty of free parking space available in our parking lot.

He graduated from Brother Rice High School in 1979, then enrolled in The University of Michigan to receive his undergraduate education and subsequently entered The School of Dentistry there. He graduated in 1987 with a DDS degree, and later went back to the University of Michigan to get his MBA.
After a year of gaining valuable experience, Dr. Wright opened the doors to his office in May of 1988. From the start, the emphasis of the office was on customer service, and this also was the principal focus of Dr. Wrights studies in his MBA program.
Dr. Wright is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, DOCS (Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation). the Michigan Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has earned advanced recognition as a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Wright also is a mentor at Practical Clinical Courses in Utah and co-teaches advanced dental classes with world renowned dentist Dr. Gordon Christensen, at P.C.C. Centers in Provo, Utah.
Dr. David Wright and his family live in Birmingham, MI. His wife, Peggy, is a private practitioner in the field of Speech Pathology. David and Peggy spend their free time with their three children, Natalie, Daniel and Julia. Dr. Wright is passionate about downhill skiing, hiking, travel, writing, theatre (yep, he is man enough to admit it ) and is a self-professed Dental Nerd. And even though his son Daniel is a dreaded Buckeye, Dr. Wright loves his University of Michigan Wolverines.

I appreciate the care and information to help me better care for my teeth but first time I felt I did not have quality dental cleaning. Few xray views taken, mouth did not feel clean when left office. I am disappointed.

So far, not overly impressed. Billing department wasn't good at researching how much insurance would cover. Fillings put in about a month ago have fallen out, the temp crown very loose (managing to keep it on). My husband is not having the best of luck. These fall outs started Thursday, can't get in till Monday afternoon. Thought they did emergency dentistry. Maybe this only urgent, so have to wait?Maybe they get better??

As always, I was treated very professionally and courteously from Tonya and Barb in the receptionist area to Vicki, my hygienist, to Dr. Wright. The experience was as pleasant as possible. Dr.Wright exhibits empathy and is extremely professional. Today, I needed a crown re-attached. Kara and Dr.Rao were extremely pleasant, professional, and answered all my questions. I met Christina in the office, who is relatively new, and she was extremely helpful.

When you realize that your family dentist is retiring and you have to find a new one the task can be difficult with so many to choose from. I was so fortunate to have friends refer me to Dr Wright and his staff of Dental Professionals. From my initial phone conversation with the receptionists, all the way through my Dental experience, I give the staff and Dr Wright himself a five star rating. Blessed for sure to be able to call Dr Wright and his team my new family Dentistry.

Dr Wright and his Associates take an inordinate amount of time to explain procedures and recommend steps to improve dental health. They will give you written estimates of next step procedures (ie crowns, fillings, etc). Prices are reasonable.
