Tuesday august 25 3:00 appt. soft reline was done. August 26 5:00 went in for soar spots, didn't see Rachel as she was in an emergency surgery. Seen someone else.(the assistant) She took my denture and turned on the electric file, She didn't mark the area where I was sore to figure out where to sand it down. I don't think she did anything really. August 27 4:00 went in again withthat same sore spots this time I had seen Rachel and she marked 3 spots where I was hurting two in the lower and one one top patella area. Friday August 28 I had acquired two more sore spots. When I called the office, they were closed. It was hurting so bad, I took my nail file and filed it down myself on one spot Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 I had still more sore spots but the office was still closed. Tried to call office but a Recording said to only call if dire emergency with another number. Called the office first thing August 31, Monday morning and nobody answered until 8:20. Receptionist "Terry" stated that they were completely booked and that Rachel was on vacation for the rest of the week. What??? She never told me she was going on vacation. So Terry said my next appointment wasn't until next Thursday September 1. I told Terry that my sores in my mouth needs to been seen today. She suggested the assistant, I said No. she kept on trying to put me off by saying that limited people were only allowed on the building at a time. I kept telling her that this was unacceptable (I actually said that this was B.S. not the two words) and that I needed to be seen right away. I then told her I wanted to be seen by Dr Newell. She said she would see what she could do and hung up on me. Called again 11:20 and spoke with Liz, asked if I could schedule an appointment with dr Newell. She said that a note was already put on his desk, she said that I already came in last week with sores and thought it was taken care of, I said that a new sore came in Friday, she said oh. I also asked why Rachel didn't say that she was going on vacation and Liz stated that they do not give out that information. I said I disagree, that my last dentist told me when he his was on vacation. And that had I known that she was going to go on vacation, I would have prolonged this process until she got back. Liz then wanted to remind me of my September 1 appoint, and I said that based on the process so far, there is no way I was going thru this on a Thursday, with no one in the office Friday Saturday and Sunday. She started to laugh. Than asked me if I wanted her to leave another note on dr Newell desk, and I said yes. August 30, Monday 4:30 I still had not heard from the doctor and it was getting closer to closing time, so I called to see where we were. I was than told that they had spoke with Dr. Newell and that he decided he did not want to service me anymore that they were not going to charge me for what they have done. I have sores in my mouth because of them, and now they won't fix it. I had to find another dentist. Unbelievable!!

I can't recommend him enough. I also am petrified of going to the dentist. Dr. Newell and his staff made me feel very comfortable from the cleaning to the crown. Everything was explained thoroghly. Even the xrays, which are normally not easy to understand, were very easy to understand why the work was needed.

I have been going to Dr. Newell since he bought the practice from Dr. Marriage. Today was the first time I needed dental work done. He numb my mouth then walked out of the room, he then came back in the room and drilled the cavities out and left the room. When the assistant came in I told her that hat the numbness was wearing off, and she said she can give me more numb medicine, and I did not want anymore medicine, and also told her and the doctor direct that this was very poor service. The doctor was doing three other appointments at the same time. My appointment was very expensive, and they are racking in the money at my expense and time. I told him that I was going to call my insurance company, which I did. The assistant told me that this was a two hour appointment. My insurance company said they will be looking into the issue. I did not need a two hour appointment if once he started drilling he filled the cavities right away. I am changing dentist.

I don't know how anyone could rate Dr. Newell 2 stars... I am petrified of the dentist. I HATE going to the dentist. More then anything! I have been too almost all the dentists in our area and I really didn't care for any of them. Then I found Dr. Newell. We set up a treatment plan that cost about 2,000$ less then what another popular dentist in the area wanted to charge. Part of this plan included pulling my very back molar which scared the bajeezies out of me. I went in with my heart rate too high (like always!) and the assistant was really nice about calming me down. Dr. Newell came in and was super gentle and patient with the whole process. I told him i didn't want to see the needle and he made sure I got numb comfortably. He was able to get my molar that had fused roots out in one piece with very little pain. It barely bled afterwards at all! I won't be going anywhere else in the Valley ever again. And will be highly recommending Dr. Newell to all my friends and family. Thank you so much for making us scaredy cats so comfortable!
