Dr.Dave Buchanwas born and raised in Southern California. After some traumaticchildhood dental experiences, he wasdrawn to pursuing a dental career from a very early age when hisSan Clemente dentist helped transform his fears into a passion to help people. After graduating from Corona del Mar High, (where he met his beloved wife, Blair) he studied psychology & biology at UCLA. He enjoyed UCLA so much, he went on to complete hisdental degree there. One of Dr. Buchan's passions was mentoring fellow students in prosthetic dentistry.Heis constantly taking coursesin Restorative,Implant & Cosmetic Dentistry to keep up to date with therapid advances in dental care.
Dr. Buchanis committed to providing the highest quality of care to his patients. He has enjoyed serving the San Clemente community by coaching youth sports,being active in his local church and helping low-income families with dental care. He & his familyhave also considered it a privilege to havetraveled to Papua New Guinea, El Salvador, Belize, and Mexico toprovidedentistry in remote areas where no dental care has been available.
Dr. Daveand Blair have been blessed with two beautiful children.He has enjoyed practicing dentistry and living in San Clemente for the past 20 years. His outstanding work and gentlemannerare the reasons why many of his patients refer others to him. He endeavors to give thanks to God for any good that comes from what he does. Dr. Buchan and his staff have always put my dental care first, any time I have had questions about my dental health, requested appointments, referrals, teeth cleaning and billing services, I have received excellent professional service, I will continue to recommend Dr. Buchan to my friends and family.

I have been a patient of Dr. David Buchan's for years. I don't usually do reviews but felt it was important, at a time when so many people I know are looking for trustworthy, caring, competent health providers, to share what a wonderful experience I have every time I am in his office! The entire staff and he put a patient at ease, creating a warm and comfortable environment. It is also Highly Covid secure & obvious they've gone to great measures to ensure a safe environment. I appreciate how they take a personal interest in each patient and provide excellent care! I am really thankful David Buchan DDS is my dentist!

I've been going to Dr. Buchan for many years. I like him very much because he is welcoming and easy going, knows what he is doing, and has a good sense of humor. I can't imagine going anywhere else. The rest of the staff are also excellent.

I'm so glad I switched to Dr. Buchan. On my initial visit, he gave me a very thorough exam, looking at all the little details pertaining to my teeth and xrays. I was pleased to get a solution to the chronic pain I've been having between a couple of my molars that my other dentist kept glossing over. I also love my new hygienist Danika(sp?). She does a thorough job, didn't judge me for my tartar build-up (ha!), and is very enjoyable to talk with, when her cleaning instruments aren't in my mouth that is. :)
