Great experience after checking in for my appointment I only had to wait about 5 minutes before taking me back. The hygienist did a great job cleaning my teeth and was very quick doing X-rays especially when the plastic pieces likes to cut into your mouth when biting down on plastic.

The first dentist's office to be honest that they perform medically unnecessary x-rays to fulfill their business liability insurance obligations and NOT because a patient needs them. I had x-rays done a month ago at another office, and because I have a developing melanoma in my eye, I did not want to have more x-rays done, when I just needed a cleaning (because the other office did not do a good job at all.) The receptionist at Darby Dental became instantly chilly toward me and declined to accept me as a patient when I asked if I needed x-rays done again to get a cleaning, when I just had them done a month ago. It is medically understood and accepted practice that one does not do medically unnecessary x-rays because of the cancer risk (of which I already have!) but dentists' offices get away with it. I'm very pleased the receptionist stated it was in the office's financial best interest to do the x-rays, and not the patients' because I've suspected as such all along. (Some companies sell both the x-ray machines and dentist liability insurance both! Although I am not saying that is the case here.) I've noticed patients are forced to get x-rays in order to get a cleaning, but the x-rays themselves aren't looked at by the dentist until after your teeth have already been cleaned. So they are not even using your x-rays to make sure there isn't a risk to cleaning your teeth first. People wonder why I quit trusting doctors. I just wanted a good tooth cleaning...and not more exposure to unnecessary radiation that is just going to make this melanoma grow faster. I gave them three stars instead of one because at least they were honest about their motives.

I got to my appointment, greeted with a smile and happy attitude. Checked in process was quick and got called back for my cleaning within 5 min. I love this office and everyone is so pleasant and friendly. I had a cleaning appointment

Started right on time. Ciera was thorough but gentle while cleaning. Informative but not preachy. Was very good about rinsing often. I always feel relaxed while she is working on my teeth. The x-rays are very easy and the water pic used is noisy but effective. As always I am very happy with the results.
