Dr. Nelson completed her General Practice Residency at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Washington D.C. She seeks out a variety of continuing education opportunities in order to stay up to date on the latest techniques and trends in dentistry. She is a member of the National Dental Association.
Dr. Nelson is a member of the Second Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoys running, basketball, bowling and traveling. She loves spending time with her father, Jerome, who has been a UPS driver for 31 years, her mother, Eva, who is an optician at Illinois Eye Express and her grandparents, whom are very active in the community. She is excited to return to Danville; she has always wanted to come back and give back to her community.

Staff was very friendly and listened to my concerns. They were well informed and answered all my questions. Dr. Nelson was very thorough and patient with my questions. She answered my questions-, used visuals to help me understand and was very reassuring. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for quality dental care and a friendly environment.

This is a wonderful dental care. I have high anxiety when going to the dentist and everyone is so caring and it helps my anxiety. They are very welcoming and patient. Always asking if I am doing ok and does a wonderful job calming me down and keeping me calm. Best experience at a dental office I have ever had during a procedure!

We love Dr Nelson and staff! They are so fun, welcoming, and make the dentist experience less scary. My daughter always leaves saying how much she loves her dentist! If you have kids this is THE ONLY dentist you should go to! They also happen to do great work! Highly recommend.

Very disappointed fiance broke a tooth literally in half while working at the hospital. She explained she had an emergency and they were ready to book her with insurance. She told them she didn't have insurance and immediately they told her they'd call back with pricing. 21/2 hours later no call. I truly guess the doctor forgot his oath as well the staff.

My 5 year old daughter went in for her first dentist visit and was scared. She kept saying "I want to go home. I want to go home" but as soon as we were back in the room the staff calmed her down. They were amazing with her. Will definitely be back to use them. 5 stars

This is the best dentist in Danville as far as Im concerned, they are friendly, I had a root canal and felt very little pain, love love love them

The staff is SO friendly and do a great job explaining what they're doing and why! I never leave there in pain or discomfort when having other services done beside a cleaning! Going to the dentist used to evoke a feeling of dread but not with Danville Family Dental! It's not a big deal at all to go because of how wonderful the staff is!
