Dr. David Daniels was born in New York City but raised in Nashville, Tennessee. He attended Vanderbilt University, where he graduated cum laude with Honors in American History and set two career records as a pitcher on the baseball team. He continued his baseball career into the professional ranks, pitching for the Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, and St. Louis Cardinals organizations for six seasons. As a hard-throwing sidearm reliever, he was often called upon to save games for his teams. When right elbow surgery ended one career however, he returned to school to begin another as a dentist.
Dr. Daniels earned his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, then received his orthodontic specialty training at Tufts School of Dental Medicine. Balancing his clinical training with a Masters of Science, he conducted original research on the effects of a non-compliance-based alternative to headgears.
During his first two years of private practice, Dr. Daniels was selected by his peers as a 'Top Orthodontist' for Connecticut Magazine . Following invaluable experiences in two highly-successful orthodontic practices, he accepted a very special opportunity to transition the practice.
Dr. Daniels is committed to excellence in education and technology in his profession, participating in dental and orthodontic study clubs at the local and national levels. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), New England Society of Orthodontists (NESO), and Connecticut State Dental Association.
Dr. Dave returns to Connecticut from northern Virginia with his wife, a clinical psychologist, his son Henry, and his daughter Rumi. When not treating patients, he enjoys running, attempting challenging recipes, coaching youth baseball, and speaking to children on the importance of balancing education with sports. He looks forward to accompanying you on an exciting journey to a beautiful smile!
Angie has been part of the Daniels Orthodontics team for about a year and a half. She has been in the field for roughly 35 years and can't imagine anything better than helping to create new smiles! In her spare time she enjoys walking her retired racing greyhound Sadie, movies, reading, cooking, the beach, and fall fairs!
Paige has been with the Daniels Orthodontics team for just over a year and a half, and enjoys helping around the office. She grew up in Cheshire and enjoys doing karate, playing lacrosse, and hanging out with her dog in her free time.

Both of my children went here and the staff is amazing. Dr. Daniels made both kids feel comfortable and explained everything they would need to do to them. My kids are so happy with their results. Highly recommend

I had a great experience with Dr. Daniels and his staff. Everybody is very friendly and professional. My son just finished his treatment there; I'm very happy with the outcome. Dr. Daniels and his team was amazing during all the treatment; and explained every process in detail. They take the time to listen to you and answer any questions. I love Dr Daniels! My daughter just started going here. He is very relaxed and hilarious! My daughter doesn't mind coming here, it's so welcoming. She is getting an expander that doesn't have to be a gear outside her mouth like they had in my days as a kid! Next to see the results! But very happy with my initial experiences. They set up a bunch of appts up front, they allow a payment plan, everything is very well organized.

Dr Daniels and his team had their work cut out for themselves with our son. Extra teeth, tooth extraction, horizontal teeth ...but they did it and just 28 months later Eric has a beautiful smile and is so happy. Thank you!! First stop after braces removal was his favorite bagel place lol

I have been with Dr. Daniel's from the day that he took over for the previous doctor. Dr. Daniel's came in and immediately fixed what the previous doctor did and fixed my teeth so much. He is very willing to work with you and provide the best options for a better looking smile and he always keeps you in the loop and tells you exactly what he is doing and is going to do. I recently had a retainer with a Pontic tooth fitted for my mouth and Dr. Daniel's and Frank did an amazing job with the retainer. It fits well and looks amazing. Dr. Daniel's is a true professional and he should be the first option for anyone who is looking to get braces

Dr Daniel and his staff are by for the best! The care my boys have received from Dr Daniel's from day one has been excellent. Friendly, super clean, efficient, and knowledgeable. I compared three doctors and finally chose Dr. Daniels for my son. I am very happy with my choice. When my son visited the dentist office for teeth cleaning after his braces were taken off, his dentist said, "your orthodontist did a beautiful job!" Dr. Daniels has treated both of my children. 2 sets of braces and 1 broken jaw in two places. Dr. Daniels is an amazing orthodontist and really takes an interest in families. He even personally drove to our house during the peak of the pandemic to drop off supplies for my kids. The entire staff is professional and caring.

This review is long overdue! This mom (& nurse) could not be happier with the care my daughter is receiving at Daniels Orthodontics. Dr. Daniels is knowledgeable, thorough in his explanations & very personable. The front desk/staff are kind, professional, and so accommodating. Meghan, Annie, Frank, and a few more friendly faces I'm forgetting--have all been great over the course of her treatment plan! Braces are up next for my daughter, and I know we'll be bringing her younger brother in soon enough! :) Thank you!

Dr Daniels really make sure that my smile was something that I was happy with, and he delivered along with Frank as well. When I came in to get my braces off, Frank has closed the little gap and it looked perfect and I couldn't be more happy with the work that they did.

Dr. Daniels is very good at explaining each step of the orthodontic process and why the step is relevant to treatment. The entire practice runs efficiently, yet each staff member takes the time to offer a greeting, bringing a personal experience to treatment. The culture of the office is such that the patient and patient's parents feel like more than just a number.

We are very satisfied to go to Dr. Daniels, who treated my son's teeth in very professional way. My son's teeth needed extra work and time, the whole procedure took 3 years and 2 months to finish. At very beginning I was very worried as my dental insurance only covered for 2 years of treatment. Dr. Daniels explained to me the necessary for a longer treatment and he would not charge for extra fees. He just wanted to do the right thing. During covid, we waited in the car, Dr. Daniels and his staff walked to every customer's car to greet and update. Sometimes they were under hot sun but they did not mind even though I felt sorry. They really care about their customers and would like to see our big smile. Highly recommend Dr Daniels orthodontists!
