Visited Dr Shields for the first time this morning to have a root canal. Not only was it totally painless, I was in and out quickly, and the entire staff was so nice. Definitely will go back for any further work!

I never thought I would have been disappointed to have left a dentist's office without having to have a root canal -- on the day before Thanksgiving, no less -- but there's a first time for everything. When Dr. Shields walked into the room, I could tell almost immediately that she was kind, friendly, professional, extremely knowledgeable, straightforward, and honest. The kind of person that will tell you, even if you drove an hour to come see her, that she doesn't think you need to have any work done right now if you really don't. I would drive to see her just to get filling if she did that; however, she is not a general dentist so I'll have to go somewhere else. She gave me a referral for a new dentist which seemed pretty impressive given that I live so far away -- she seems to have a good relationship with several dentists in my area -- and, at any rate, I can't wait to go back and see her when it *is* time for that root canal!

She was much faster than I anticipated. Her staff were all very courteous, one kept me company (i think because she knew I was nervous) and distracted me during the procedure so I wouldn't focus on any (minor) pain from the initial injections of pain killer. She was very knowledgeable, very professional, very swift but still put her attention on me even though (i'm sure) she had a dozen patients right then. Let me put it this way, I would prefer her ROOT CANAL to just about ANY treatment I would receive from my "regular" dentist (and I *love* my dentist). THAT is how good she is.

The absolute best dental experience we've ever had. Fastest & easiest root canal ever. Dr. Shields was excellent with my daughter. The entire staff was very friendly and professional. Regan is always very polite and helpful when I call...no matter how many times I call. I highly recommend!!!

Dr. Shields was excellent. She explained everything before hand, helped put me at ease, and explained things as the procedure went on. She is very entertaining and the staff was very helpful.
