With three decades of experience in the Basking Ridge area, Dr. Carey is an experienced and compassionate dentist who offers high quality, comprehensive gentle dental care in his state-of-the art practice. Through the use of the latest technological advances in dentistry, such as the Compudent Wand (a syringe free, computer directed anesthesia delivery system), Dr. Careys goal is to alleviate the pain, discomfort and anxiety that are often associated with a visit to the dentist's office.
Dr. Carey takes the time to talk to his patients about their oral health and treatment options. 'Communication is an important part of establishing trust. I talk to my patients throughout a procedure so they understand exactly what 's happening and treat them the way I want to be treated when I 'm in a dentist 's chair.' He utilizes the latest innovations in intraoral cameras to clearly show the patient what he is doing, to put their minds at ease.
Dr. Carey completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Seton Hall University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at New York University College of Dentistry. He also completed a hospital residency at the JFK Medical Center. He is a frequent guest at local schools - especially in February during Children's Dental Health Month. Also, he is a member of the American Dental Association and takes part in Apex Seminars.
Dr. Carey and his staff are proud of the warm patient-friendly environment they have created and of the lifelong relationships they have built with multi-generational families in the area. I highly recommend Dr. Carey. He and his incredible staff always make me feel comfortable and explain in detail the treatment plan. Dr. Carey and his hygienist are gentle and considerate. Great dental experience every time!

I have been a dental patient of Dr. Carey's for several years, as have my children. He's kind, patient and gentle and continually provides knowledgeable and efficient care. He has shown prompt attention to any dental issues that have arisen and has provided up-to-date dental care with excellence. Dr. Carey is wonderful with children and adults. I highly recommend Dr. Carey as a dental care provider for all families.

Dr. Carey has been my dentist for about 30 years. I have only good things to say about him and his staff. Dr. Carey is a wonderful dentist, who cares about his patients and puts them at ease. The work he has done for me has been excellent. He has assembled a friendly, efficient team, from his dental hygienists to his receptionist. Recently I went for a routine cleaning, and was impressed with all the Covid precautions he has instituted. My highest recommendation for Dr. Carey!

My wife and I have been Dr. Carey's patients for over 19 years, and we are extremely pleased with his service. Both he and his hygienist, Laurie, provide an excellent level of care that is both effective and compassionate. Of particular note is the fact that Dr. Carey will do whatever it takes to safeguard the welfare of his patients. On a couple of occasions, we experienced dental emergencies, and he made it a priority to promptly address our issues. We would not hesitate to highly recommend Dr. Carey to either family or friends.

Most of all, I value the pleasant staff at this practice - from Dr Carey, to the hygienists and assistants, to the receptionist, Theresa. I am also impressed with the attention to detail of this practice. The utmost care is taken with cleanliness, and perfection is the goal, whether it's a routine cleaning or a crown.

Dr. Carey went through my whole mouth replacing fillings saying I needed that done. All unnecessary. In addition, I experienced him irate when people would cancel his appointments.

Dr. Carey is the best dentist. He takes his time & does precision work. I have 20 yr old crowns that are still going strong. He is caring & pain free. Couldn't ask for better dental work

My husband and I are both under Dr. Carey's expert care, and I can't say enough about how wonderful his entire practice is. I originally went there for a crown that fell out as my dentist at that time was not available, and he saw me right away. We have been going ever since. Excellent care and an excellently equipped office, all the latest technology. Love him and his staff! (extra call out for Teresa at the front desk, sooo helpful!)
