I grew up in Santa Rosa and attended Santa Rosa Middle School and Santa Rosa High. My father was a family physician in town for 40 years, and I regularly went on house calls and to nursing homes with him. I remember seeing the love he had for his patients, and I have tried to emulate his style in real caring and compassion for every individual. When a dentist I had at a young age fixed one of my teeth, I was taken with his work, and I knew then that I wanted to be a dentist and do the same for others as he had done for me.
I received honors for my clinical excellence, along with my D.D.S. in 1991 from the Medical College of Virginia. I have traveled to Jamaica and worked with hundreds of patients who had no previous source of dental care. I enjoy volunteering with Hanna Boys Center and other charitable projects in Sonoma County. I understand that the best professionals never stop learning, and I like staying on the leading edge of the newest dental techniques and technologies, and passionately bringing the highest level of quality and service that those can provide. I want each dental experience to exceed the expectations of my patients, and for those patients to have peace of mind that they are receiving the very best dental care available.
I am a devoted husband and father of four children who are wonderful and caring human beings. As for my hobbies, I love all sports, especially basketball, golf, and baseball. Im a huge fan of the SF Giants, the Golden State Warriors, the SF 49rs, and the Oakland Raiders. I also love to hike and I especially enjoy Annadel, the coast, Yosemite, and Zion Naitional Park. I am a fan of Broadway Theater, and I love reading biographies of the many amazing people who have lived before me.
I am a Certified Laser Instructor, Associate Member of the Academy of Case Dentistry since 1998. I LOVE being a Hygienist! Dont know what I would do instead. Maybe an Astronaut no wait, Im afraid of heights. Anyway, Im in my dream office; Dentist Extraordinaire, great staff, friendly, caring, and clean office. Canine Companion friendly. I graduated from BYU with a BA in American Studies, with an emphasis in English, American History, and Political Science. I was then a receptionist, bookkeeper, and office assistant in the Pediatric Department at MCV School of Dentistry for four years, and I loved helping the dental students in the pediatric clinic and assisting the families and children receive the dental care they needed. Besides bookkeeping, I am the official office extra, helping out where needed. For the past 21 years, I have enjoyed meeting our patients and assisting with the needs of our dental team. I love our team and enjoy helping in the office where there is always a positive vibe and I get to witness the beautiful results and happy patients. My passions and things that I love include my husband, my four kids, (Kate, Lauren, Michael, and Claire), the SF Giants, the Golden State Warriors, American history, Dancing, volunteering at church, cooking, and going to the movies!
Becky is a RDA, trained at Santa Rosa Junior College. She started her career working in Pedodontics, which lasted 17 years before transitioning into General Dentistry with Dr. Sullivan. She soon learned that adult were just bigger kids. Becky has worked with Dr. Sullivan for 22 plus years and thoroughly enjoys her work with Grown ups!
Becky finds it extremely gratifying as an assistant to provide care to her patients in a calm and caring manner where their comfort and well being is her main concern. Her focus has been in patient education, mouth guards, whitening, and Invisalign.
I have worked with Dr. Sullivan for close to two years now. I have been in the dental field for over twenty years where I have experience in all aspects of dentistry. I currently live in the beautiful city of San Francisco with my boyfriend, Dave. In my spare time, I love to cook vegetarian cuisine and spend time with my daughter, Melissa, who is attending the Santa Rosa Junior College Nursing Program.
